Tadhg

My heart beats erratically in my chest. I can feel her tiny hand in mine and it makes me brave.

Only a few yards from the campfire, and long before we reach the caverns, I quickly whip Caoilainn's hand around so that she's crushed against me behind the nearest tree. I hear her inhale out of surprise and watch her smile.

"There you are, my little hellcat," I whisper in her ear.

"Mmm that sounds good, Tadhg. I love your little nicknames for me," she replies, nibbling on my ear with a smile that I can feel against the sensitive skin there. When she licks my neck and begins to suckle me I feel a tightening begin. Her hands roam down my back and across my ass making me hiss with desire.

"Keep that up and we'll never make it to the caves," I warn darkly.

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Tadhg," she says, teasing in response. Caoilainn steps away and grabs my hand. "Come on, let's hurry before anyone notices we're gone and comes looking for us."

Wordlessly, I hold on tight and we move deeper into the woods. The sound of the gang down by the pond falls away replaced by an errant bird or rodent. Jogging to keep up, I make sure to step lightly, avoiding breaking any stray sticks or twigs. I jump over the remnants of yesterday's rain and avoid getting splashed in mud.

Caoilainn's leaping around the moss and stones without a thought for anything but us. Normally quiet and reserved, I love seeing this carefree side of her; a side she keeps well-guarded, except when we're alone in the cloak of privacy.

Caoilainn's heat is a lethal firestorm and tonight I'm looking forward to a third degree burn.

We cannot get enough of one another. It's getting harder and harder to keep my hands off of Caoilainn when we're out. I want to tell my cousins, Walker and Cian. So far, I haven't, though I suspect that they may already know, or if not, surely their neighbor and Caoilainn's friend, Jenny, has guessed by now.

Respecting Caoilainn's request for secrecy is killing me. I long for the day when I can love her in public. I'm not sure what we're waiting for, but I love her, so I'll wait.

"Hurry up, Tadhg, come on," I hear her say as she runs ahead. "We're almost there."

As we run up into the hills, I watch her, making sure she doesn't fall. I will admit to keeping a very close eye on her ass most of the way. I briefly close my eyes after looking up at her again. Just thinking about reaching our spot is all I can do to keep myself from reaching up to take her right where we're standing. I feel constricted in my jeans and adjust myself as I run. I can smell her faint, sexy scent trailing behind her. It's my own damn near undoing every time we're together.

We breach the top of the cliff and the mouth of the caves below comes into view. We carefully skid down the edges of the path and follow a weed-blocked trail of Queen Anne's lace into the tunnels. If you don't know it's there you might miss the opening. Caoilainn and I grew up in these woods, however, so we're fairly familiar with the caves. We've been here many times before. First, as innocent children and now as young adults looking for the cover and privacy of night that only they can provide.

I barely step inside the cavern when Caoilainn's hands find me. She wraps her arms around my shoulders and pulls me close. Her tongue dances with mine as the stars twinkle in the night's sky outside. A full moon hangs low and illuminates us in the shadows. Without breaking our embrace I slowly move us deeper into the rocks, finding the back part where some dry space opens up.

Some candles and a box of matches sit still on a small cleft in the rear of the cave from the other day. Hesitant to let go of her, I step back to light the candles, before coming back to start up again with Caoilainn. The soft glow of the candles mirrors us. We're on fire as our passion slowly burns through the night. It'll be hours before we're missed. Time stands still for us as we move together in the cover of darkness.

In my imagination, the song, "Ride", by  Chase Rice ft. Macy Maloy, is the soundtrack for this chapter.
