Because my theorist ass couldn't resist. Also I was inspired by a bunch of fanfiction I've read. Have fun trying to follow my faulty logic.

Also, I'm MatPat trash too. I just didn't need put the video up

STORYTIME!

Unlocking the hidden potential of Pokémon was your task, what would you do to reach it? Anything. As long as you can busy yourself with research you can be happy. Thankfully you found someone with alike mindedness to yourself. It's such a shame that you met under the circumstances of working for Team Plasma, however. If you didn't read the title, the person woth the same mindset as you is Colress. Learn to get a clue, Reader.

Surprise suprise, being a scientist with expertise in forensics you've created and published an official PokePeriodic table. It's just Like the periodic table but with added elements with relation the Pokémon and their natural phenomenon. For example, for simplicity, the fighting type has a total of three elements associated with it. Fightanium, which is used in Z Crystals. Fightanite, which is the deep concentration of fighting type moves found in pockets of pure energy such as focus blasts, and Fightasium, which is very similar to Fightanium but this mineral is found only in fighting type mega stones and special gems native to the Unova region which power up fighting type Pokémon. Fighting types are one of the three types with the least elements on the PokéPeriodic table because they are simplistic and surrounded by a central ideal. This research and entire theory about PokéElements is crucial to your research.

You believe three ideas based on the theory of the PokéElements:

1.) That when a Pokémon is Injected with a substance such as Fightasium or Fightasium they can gain this type, but only if they are a solo type and not a dual type. Dual types will have no effect on the injections.

2.) By combining elements such as Fightasium and Fightasium together into a compact mineral and giving it to a Pokémon of that specific type, like a Scrafty, that Pokémon will be twice as strong when inflicting damage with the move of that type

3.) Dragon types, the type with the most PokéElements discovered this far, when exposed to Draganium, Dragasium, And Draconite XYZ can And will become a GOD

That last ideal is what Team Plasma is using you for. However, they don't believe your research will be fruitful as much as your colleague Colress's so they don't put as much funding into it. You couldn't care less. As long as you can follow your passions and reveal the truth for yourself, you were fine.

That's what you were doing right now. A shipment of Salamencite and Altariaite came in from Kalos so you can extract the Dragnasium for an experiment on your Pokémon partner: Druddigon. While extracting the mineral using your forensic tech, your colleague dropped by. You felt him hovering over your sholder, watching your every move. He was the curious type and when he has nothing else to do, he would do this. You didn't mind in the slightest. You've grown used to your nost attractive friend. That last adjective is something you keep to yourself btw.

"Directing Mega Stones for the Proclaimed 'Dragnasium'? Fascinating."

You take out the purple crystals embedded in the Salamencite and take them off to the side, placing them on the platform of your microscope for further inspection. With your Draganium already diescted all you need is your Daconite XYZ and you can test out your theory. A brain break might prove useful so you fix your posture and spin your office chair around to face your fellow scientist.

"I can hear the doubt in your voice, Colress. However based on previous interactions you must be waiting for a new part for your technological advances. If you just want to pass time or actually figure out what I'm working on, I'm happily to oblige with either."

You smile warmly at him. Fun fact: you aren't social. You have no idea how to talk normally. You just know big words, dictionaries, and science. Talk about a walking stereotype. Colress looked over at your desk with the giant box of minerals and relics. He must have noticed something shiny, the glimmer reflecting in his glasses. You spin around and take out the precious gem. A giant chunk of Salamencite, capable of causing a few dozen Salemence to mega evolve at once with the right human and key stone. Science is so amazing. Colress spoke.

"Ah, so you've noticed my suspicion. I apologize. I was just wondering how mega evolution's energy could be harnessed..."

A test solely on mega evolution, the energy release, and the compound of it? Curious. You've never thought about it before. Professors Elm, Rowan, and Sycamore all do extensive research on evolution. Elm with preevolution, Rowan with evolution, and Sycamore with mega evolution. All three came to the conclusion that Pokémon give off energy when evolving. Perhaps there is a key there...  you hand him the chunk of mineral, knowing full well you have enough to keep you busy for weeks on end without it.

"Take it, Colress. Experiment with your heart's delight. If you need more information On the stone and PokéElements inside, as well as its many different abilities don't hesitated to ask me. However next time I might ask for something in return."

You didn't really mean much by that last statement. You mean like a helping hand or a spare part or to borrow one of his high tech machines every once in a while, but then... there was another meaning to it you dared not to explain. You could probably figure out what it is on your own, Reader. Also breaking the fourth wall, by now you should know that's my favorite hobby as an author! Back to the story!

"Something in return? That could lead down two different paths, (name), and I do prefer to think that it isn't the perverted side. I may be bizarre for even inquiring that's where our mind went with the statement, but I'd rather be specific than not know. As for the favors I need to repay you for the hunk of mega crystal, what did you have in mind?"

Didn't you just tell him that he needn't pay you back for the crystal this time? You sighed, looking up at the ceiling. You didn't have anything you necessarily wanted right now at the very moment. You were about to explain to him this fact when suddenly-

"Ah! Finally! The Titanium gears I need for the next machine! I don't have time for this now, I'm afraid. I hope this will suffice."

You were about to question him when suddenly he gave you a quick kiss on the cheek before half-giddily returning to his work with the new parts he requested from master Ghetsis. Your heart was beating fast and your face felt hot. For some reason the sensation of his lips quickly pressing against your cheek did not want to go away. You spun back around in your office chair, hiding yourself from him and everyone else in the laboratory. You just stare at your desk, vision out of focus from everything. You felt like you couldn't wipe a grin off your face.

This feeling... it needs further examination.

1211 Words. I tried really hard on this. I really hope you enjoyed this crappy oneshot and my attempt at headcannons!

I love you all!
