I am making myself go to school today. I pull on a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and a Goo Goo Dolls T-shirt. I lace up my boots and rush out the door. I don't bother to eat breakfast, even if I was hungry there's nothing in the house for me to eat.

I get on the bus and sit alone in the back with my headphones blasting music. I can feel a couple pairs of eyes watching me, but I can't care less.

To pass time I play with my bracelets, making sure they're all covering my wrists.

The bus stops in front of the school, I take my time walking to my first class.

I walk through the open door and go straight to the back of the room, my music still playing in my ears.

The other kids in the room stare at me with freakishly curious looks on their faces.

What's so interesting?

After three annoyingly long classes, it's time for my lunch period.
Of course I don't eat anything, I usually walk behind the school where there is an old trailer that the school  used for a class one year; when there were too many students in the freshman class.
Now it's abandoned and unlocked.

I pull open the trailer door and step inside.

Instantly, I freeze.

There's a random guy sitting in one of the abandoned desks. He noticed me walk in. Now we're just staring at each other.

"Hey ..." He says hesitantly.

I don't reply. I don't like people, and I haven't spoken a word in so long, I'm afraid to use my voice. Instead of saying anything back, I glare at him and move to the back of the trailer and sit down at a desk. I usually sleep during lunch, but now that he is here, I have to fake to be asleep. I don't trust him. I don't trust anyone.

"It's fine if you don't wanna talk. I'll just talk for the both of us." The random guy says.

he has a childish grin on his face as he turns around in his seat and faces me.

"Hi, my name is Ryder, what's your name?"

He clears his throat and talks in a terrible high pitched voice, "Oh, hi Ryder! My name is ... Sally! Hehehe!"

my face is buried in my arms so he can't see the look I have.

Pure annoyance.

Much to my disappointment he starts talking to himself again.

"So what are you doing here Sally?"

"Oh! Just sitting here faking to sleep!"

"Why don't you talk Sally?"

"I don't know, I get nervous around cute boys hehe!" He continues to talk in that obnoxious tone.

I pick my head up from my desk and stare knives at him.

"Okay, Okay! Jeez, you could kill someone with that look." His eyes widen and he puts his hands up in surrender. I quickly bury my face in my arms again as something so foreign appears on my face, it freaks me out.

Something I haven't done in three years, something that just the thought of makes my stomach twist.

A smile.
