"Don't say a word Madison, I'll have this all figured out in no time."
Within 72 hours I was arrested for first degree murder and booked into the county jail.
This was like living a nightmare over and over again. My life had been flipped upside down and even the most preparation still didn't prepare me.
My life wasn't great but it was good prior to this entire thanksgiving. In a matter of months I was dropped into the pit of hell preparing to face the devil himself.
Imagine being a murderer and mother locked away in one of the most filthiest, depressing, violent places on earth.
A 6 by 8 box was now my home. I threw up the first week straight and was a bare mess just distraught about the fact that I had murdered Kam and also that I was away from my children.
I had never felt so alone in my life. No matter how much my father wanted to stay he had to go back home to work off the debt I had put us in.
Steph had returned home also and my babies were in the care of Angela and Rick. I was a nervous wreck and losing all sanity.
Held with no bond until I appeared in front of the judge in the next week I was so depressed.
Finally after 14 days in that hell hole a bond was made for me and somehow it was posted for 20,000 with the limitations that I couldn't leave the state and only had one stipulation to work outside of being on house arrest.
Kamron's family had switched the entire story around. Every last one of them testified that I had suddenly snapped and shot Kamron in a malicious manner as if he wasn't attacking me.

"Didn't I say I'd be back?"Steph asked as I was released from the California prison in what I had wore the day they arrested me.
"You didn't." I sobbed breaking down into uncontrollable tears. My emotions were rushing in from different direction like a sports car on an open road.
Steph took me into his arms assuring me things were going to be okay. But there was not enough reassurance in the world that could stop me from breaking down like a kid being born.
"Rick and his wife put up half." He whispered as I cleared my eyes enough to see Rick was standing directly behind us.
"Thank you so much Rick I don't know how I could ever repay you." I uttered in broken words, resisting the urge to hug him also.
"It's the least I could do. You know— we care about you very much."
"Thank you so much Rick." I sighed wiping away the remainder of my tears.

"We'll discuss a payment arrangement once this all is over." Rick said after 10 minutes of riding in utter silence.
Steph had to go handle some important business so I was left with Rick.
I nodded, " yes Ofcourse."
"Who's this dude Madison?"
"Steph?"
"Yes Steph who is he and where did he come from?"
"Why does it matter?"
"It matters because he's around my family, your family, and us."
"You don't think I have good judgement of who I would bring around my children as well as the people i care about?"
"I don't know Madison. Seems like you're going back to your old ways."
"Old ways? What old ways—elaborate, please?"
"Nothing, just be careful."
"Careful? What the hell are you getting at? Rick don't disrespect me or turn this into something about you."
"About me? When the hell has anything been about me, when for the pass 7 years have been solely on rescuing you. At my expense."
"—you know what, you didn't have to even get me out of there. I was better off in that hell!"
"Oh now the sympathy card. Grow the hell up. Madison the point is that you don't know who this guy is you don't know him at all. Right now you're not thinking rationally and your judgement may be cloudy due to the predicament, but turning to a man you barely know for comfort is the wrong idea."
"Now you're my father! Please rick spare me. You know nothing about Steph and as for your money just as soon as I'm out of this, I will pay you every nickel and dime back, I really appreciate what you're doing for me, but please don't pry into my personal life it doesn't concern you."
The pupils in ricks eyes dilated as he did an unsettled chuckle.
Exhaling, "your personal life is he reason we are in this mess. You ought to be more cautious on who you have around your kids, my kid."
"You are not her father. Stop forcing yourself to be considered that. Now I am trying to forgive you and move forward as god would like... but don't push me Rick! Donot push me!"
"He needs to leave he's not welcome in the home I am financing let alone that belongs to my father."
"Well then neither am I."
"You really are strung the hell out on this kid. Where the hell did you meet him?"
"I trust him, I however don't trust you. Listen rick I'm sick of arguing with you. Especially about my personal life, please just leave it alone and keep the little relationship we do have Professional."
