Chapter 53

The court date for rick and I was set for 2 weeks away. I received the notice in the mail where I was a bit nervous and relieved to know peace was within reach.

School was out for the summer which meant we needed a vacation and Steph was the first to say dc so we all could go meet his parents. And I couldn't decline, I needed a break from the city and bring with Steph had been my happy place when it was just us.

However the flight there was absolutely horrible and that was a first for me. Motion sickness had sent me up  into the stars, the attendants had to give me nausea medicine to help but those barely were a fix.

"How you feeling?" Asked Steph, just as my eyes opened to the sight of the road moving before me.

"A bit better I don't exactly get why I had such horrible motion sickness, must be my nerves."

"My folks are cool no reason to be nervous."

"I know...I just can't control it I guess."

"Are you happy to meet your new grandparents?" I looked back asking Power as he took off his head phones.

"Huh?"

"I said are you excited to meet your new grandparents sir?"

"Oh yeah, I like meeting new people."

"My grandparents are really cool Power, I'm going to share them with you like I shared my dad and you share your mom."

"Awwww you melt my heart Gigi. I love you beauty." I smiled blowing her a kiss.

"Can I have some of your lip gloss?"

I reached into my purse contriving it for her, "Yes you may, would you like pink or clear?"

"Hmmm pink?"

"No she will have clear, won't be no grown woman in the back seat of this car." Steph joked making us both chuckle.

"Leave her alone ugly, here you go Gigi have at it, pink looks good on you girly."

"Thank you!"

"What's my new grandparents names?" Asked Power.

"Grandpa Kenny and Nanna Lorri."

"Hmm interesting, so should I call her nanna?"

"Yep you got it bud." Steph answered in his animated voice.

"Loloooo." I hummed trying to awaken the sleeping beauty.

"She's not budging mama she is exhausted." Power answered poking her sides to help with my attempt.

"How much longer?"

"One more turn and we're here so roughly 5 minutes. You're not nervous no more?"

"I wouldn't exactly say that, but this car moving is giving me the swims and I am going to puke every where."

"Well just hold tight." Steph laughed speeding up a bit.

In no time we arrived to a neighborhood that was quite prestige. Big homes and luxurious cars that took me aback.

"What is it that your parents do?" I asked appalled at the view.

"Don't ask don't tell cartel."

"You're kidding?"

"I am but I'm not."
