"How's my princess?"

Sitting outside of the devils hell
Itself I read over the message I had received half a hour ago from Steph and tried to reply as calmly as possible.

"She's doing fine, I gave her a bit of Tylenol to break the little fever but she's sleeping now babe."

Exiting out of the text before his response bubbles could appear I sat my phone on the passenger seat and hopped out to collect the sleeping beauty who was as lite as a feather surprisingly.

Just as I shit the door with my foot I heard the sound of a car alarm beep from my right side and glimpsed over to see Angela heading in my direction.

Not wanting to have a confrontation at this time I tried to gather myself and continue to walk towards the front porch but she was moving so quickly like she had something to prove.

"Madison." Angela called just a yard away, grasping my attention, I stopped turning in her direction with the most unwelcoming expression as a warning.

"I just want to talk."

"Look Angela I don't want to talk, at all."

"Let's be adults please. We are both women."

"I said I don't want to talk Angela."

For once she took a hint looking defeated as she stood speechless and I left her in that very spot walking away to open the door I once called home.

I was moving so fast I didn't even look to see if my parents cars were home. But it didn't take long to realize.

My mother greeted me at the doorway of the kitchen.

"Well, you finally came around on your own accord."

"Don't start mom, I'm here for the letter. Where's dad?"

"You're babysitting now for work?"

"If that's what you want to call it mom."

"Where are your own kids?"

"At school like normal children their age."

I opened the business drawer having to look little to none before grabbing the ripped open envelope with my name on it from the courts.

"Very funny, you should have more respect for me as your mother than you're showing, who's child is this anyway?"

"Why do we always have to go threw this mom? Why?"

"Because you never take the time to treat me like the woman who birthed you. Your father's here sick and you never call to check or spend time with him. But you show up whenever you're in trouble, with a random man then some random child. Don't tell me this is his daughter—."

"—-and if it is? Why is everything I do a big deal?"

"So it is his daughter. He has you playing house, using you for sex and babysitting. This is ridiculous. Must we protect and rescue you your entire life. When will we be able to rest without worrying about you and the horrible decisions you make!?"

"This is what you get off on doing and it's ridiculous mother! You should try not being so judgmental about the things you know nothing about, is dad upstairs."

"You hate to hear the truth—-and what is that on your finger!!?" Demanded my mother nearly ripping the hand I was rubbing Gigi's back with from the socket.

With the rush I had been in I didn't even think about taking this ring off, because my mother was the last person I would want to know!

Yanking. My arm back hard enough to awake Gigi I responded, "it's nothing please don't grab me like that again!"
