Jaxyl
"What the hell do you know about that?" I held a death grip onto his shirt.
"I was there."
"What the fuck are you talking about?" I growl.
I'm losing my patience with him. He shouldn't know anything about me or my son. The thought of him knowing angers me; A complete stranger knowing one of my biggest secrets.
"I was there at obedience school."
"Then why the fuck aren't you still there?" I ask through gritted teeth.
"I wasn't there as a student. I was only hired for a little janitor work until I could get enough money to leave. But I know about your situation," he smirks. "You only went to have your son and you left him there to keep him a secret."
"How do you know that?"
"After noticing how you were kept away from most of the students, I did some digging on you. You were in a different facility from the members of your pack and you were never once seen with any of them. I got switched over to duty on your unit a few nights but you never noticed. I lurked around until I got my answer."
As I stared at him with an unpleasant scowl, the gears in my head started to turn. The slick bastard...
"You followed me here didn't you," I state. "You poked around in my business, found some shit on me then followed me here so that I could help you," I figure him out.
"You want to join my pack?" I ask.
"That is the goal."
"Sly..." I sit back in a chair, folding my arms over my chest. I can't have anyone find out about Xavier, not now.
"I'll help you," I tell him. "But only on a few conditions."
"Okay," he shrugs.
"You have to be completely honest with me about what happened at the Barbaric."
"Everything I already said was the honest truth."
"Never, ever talk about my son to anyone."
"Got it," he agrees.
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. " I have a new found hatred for you."
What am I going to tell my father?
He's been staring at me for a whole minute now.
After staying up for half of the night trying to figure it out, I finally decided what to tell my father about Adarian's situation. The truth.
It seemed like a terrible idea at first, but I know my father and the type of man and leader that he is. He will help him...I guess.
"Well, I can say that I'm not surprised," he comments after putting me through a full minute of uncomfortable silence.
"I just have one question though," he pauses. "Why did he come to you with this information?"
"He was scared," I lie. "You guys were pretty intimidating."
"Okay, and you're here vouching for..."
"So that he could join the pack," I smile uneasily.
"Jaxyl, I don't like the sound of that," he shakes his head.
"Come on, Dad," I plead. "We should help him. What happened to him was unfair."
"How do you know that?" he slightly snaps. "If that deranged alpha finds out that his fugitive is here he'll be ready to raise hell."
