Jaxyl
"Can everyone besides my family leave, please?" I ask.
"You stay," I halt Tez from moving out of his seat.
"Mind telling Bryce to wait up?" I ask Adarian through the link.
"Sure."
Once everyone clears the room, I start right out with the truth. "I lied," I tell them.
"I didn't go to obedience school for my temper. That was a lie to cover up the fact that I was pregnant. I spent the time in wolf form to have my pup quicker. He's been staying there ever since," I explain.
"His name is Xavier and he's about six months old now," I finish, waiting for back lash.
"Well, I'll be first to say that I'm upset and disappointed that you kept this from me." My mom was the first to speak.
She didn't say us and I know why; It's because I told her about my mate. However, I never told her that my mate is Bryce.
"I'm sorry for lying to you guys, but it would have been hard to explain without telling you..." I trail off, contemplating if I should tell them another secret. No more lying.
"I've kept a lot from you," I look at my family.
So, I told them about Bryce. I told them everything from when we first met and how everything went down the drain between us. When I finished my dad looked more angry than before.
"One more thing..." I gulp. "Bryce is Xavier's father. He doesn't know it because I kept it from him too."
"Goddess," I hear my dad whisper. "Jaxyl, you let me form an alliance with that prick after what he did to you."
He walks over to me and engulfs me in a hug. "You could have told me sweetheart," he whispers, making the endless flow of tears gush from my face. "I'm your father. Don't you ever be too embarrassed to tell me anything," he places a kiss on my forehead.
I could do nothing but nod into his chest. My face creating a damp stain on his shirt.
"Now, I'll be upset with you after we save my grandson," he chuckles. He steps back to allow my siblings to embrace me.
"You know we wouldn't have ratted you out, right?" Bren says before he and Saryn hug me.
"For real, Jax. We're your siblings, we always have your back."
"I'm sorry, guys," I chuckle. "I'll make it up with babysitting. How does that sound?" I joke.
"Woah," They back away in unison. "Chill sister we haven't even met the kid yet. I have to see if I love him that much first," Bren jokes.
Finally, I face my best friend who's expression lightened my mood a thousand times more.
As always, a goofy grin littered his cheeks. "So, Aleah has a play date now, huh?" he grabs me into a crushing hug.
"Congratulations!" he shakes me. "Man, I'm so sad you didn't tell us, Jax! You know Darius and I would have supported you."
I never doubted that they would help me keep it a secret if I'd asked them too. The two of them are ride or die.
"Thank you for not being angry," I say.
"You know I couldn't have been angry even if I wanted to," he waves a hand, before giving me another quick hug.
