Chapter Fifteen: Again

PREVIOUSLY:   

 "Axel, come get some of the flowers you idiot." I said as I looked over to see him coming towards the car.

He laughed, and leaned over grabbing as many as he could only leaving one more.

I managed to grab it.

Once we were in the house I looked around nervously, and went into the living room once Axel had set down the rest of them.

"Here I'll go get a vase or something, do you know where one is?" Axel questioned, and I nodded.

     "Yeah under the kitchen sink."

He walked from the room just as I remembered Ryder's here.

I quickly stood up, and rushed to find him in the kitchen his jaw hard as he looked towards his brother who had a sandwhich on a plate eating calmly.

"What is he doing here?"

"What is he doing here?" Axel repeated as I stood there mute glancing towards Ryder nervously.

Wait why does he feel like he has a right to question me?

"First of all why the hell do you think you can question me? Secondly I can have whoever I want in my house, and if it really matters that damn much he's here to work on our project." I lied quickly avoiding eye contact as I made my way over to the sink grabbing a few vases.

"How did you get in?" I asked as I turned around looking Ryder up and down unashamed.

"Your brother let me in." He stated shrugging his shoulders, and I widened my eyes.

"Wait! Tyler Hastings let you, Ryder Knight into our home? I thought he doesn't like you or Axel."

        He chuckled shaking his head. "He doesn't like Axel, Tyler and I are fine."

I nodded understandingly, and Axel snorted.

Suddenly Tyler's voice reached us from the living room.

"Damn! Who brought a garden to our living room?"

I sighed heavily as I rolled my eyes looking pointedly at Axel. 

Tyler entered the room with Gage who like always gave off an annoying amount of confidence. "Hey Sammie, I like that shirt on you."

I raised an eyebrow glancing towards Tyler who chose to ignore that Gage always flirts with me.

I shook my head, and put some water in the vases. "Axel can you carry these?"

I grabbed two of the vases, and stepped past my brother and Gage heading into the living room. "Are those all your flowers?"

I unwrapped a few of the flowers, and put them in vases.

"So the rumors were true." Tyler stated following me into the living room.

        "Depends on what you heard." I shrugged as I took the other vases from Axel.

I took the vases, and placed them in various places around the house, and took the rest all up to my room. 

"Do you like Ryder?" I turned at the sound of Axel's voice completely confused as to why he'd ask me that question.

"What?" I asked as I turned to face him.

         He studied my face for a moment before repeating his question. "Do you like my brother?"

Do I like Ryder?

"Why are you asking me such a crazy question?"

"You do don't you?" He stated obviously angry.

        "No, I don't." I said a little too quickly.

Maybe I do?

"Wow that's . . . well once again Ryder's going try and take something I want. I won't let him win this time . . . " This time?

He left me alone in my room with my thoughts.
