Chapter Eighteen: Trips
The plane ride was awful.
I had been scared out of my mind the entire ride, and thanks to Claire's mouth having no filter it only seemed worst every time she brought up plane crashes.
I wanted to maul her like a bear the entire ride, and if it weren't for Jason sitting between us I just might have done that.
So when we finally reached the beach house on one of the edges of Maui I was so happy I kissed the ground.
I immediately regretted it when I felt the dirt on my lips, but I was still pretty happy about being here.
"We're headed down to the beach, see you later mom." Tyler said as soon as he put his bags in his room, and I watched as him, Gage, and Jason all ran from the house shoving each other.
They were really tan, but I guess that's what happens when you've lived in Florida your whole life.
I guess I'm pretty tan myself though . . .
"You guys aren't going to unpack?" My mother yelled after them, and I smiled when she waved off their response turning in look me and Claire over.
"So, what do you girls plan on doing today?" My mother asked, and Claire smiled.
"We're headed to the beach too, we just have to change first." Claire answered for me, and I raised an eyebrow at her as she pulled me past my mother who smiled at us before heading off somewhere else.
"Why are we going to the beach?" I asked her as she shut her room door behind me.
She laughed as she turned to look at me. "We aren't going to the beach Sam, we're going to a party on a boat."
Leave it to Sam to have found out about a party within an hour of being here.
"What party Claire?"
"This rich dude is throwing some type of huge party tonight, everyone who is anyone will be there. We have to go." Claire said, and I groaned.
That line was so cliché, I felt like slapping her for the lack of creativity.
"How did you even find out about this party?" I asked while she searched threw her luggage looking through bikini after bikini.
"I was sitting next to the guy on the plane ride he invited us, said it's going to be epic, and he wouldn't mind more beautiful girls." She said as she turned to wiggly her perfectly sculpted brows at me suggestively.
"Fine, but as long a we come back by sunset." I said as I moved towards her door knowing I'm going to regret agreeing to anything she suggest we do.
It was Claire bear for crying out loud.
Heading down the hall to where my room was located I quickly ducked into my room hoping to avoid anymore lies the remainder of this trip.
Once I had found a cute white and black bikini, I paired it with a mesh white mid thigh length cardigan and white sandals before I took a quick shower, and did a fresh shave.
I was good to go by the time Claire barged into my room she was wearing something similar to mine.
Typical.
"C'mon its about damned time we go to a real party, I bet there's going to be tons of cute guys there." Claire said excitedly as she grabbed my wrist pulling me from my room.
"Yay . . . you always know what I need." I said in mock enthusiasm.
"Shut up hastings."
