Chapter Twenty-One: Knight in shining armour
It was complete silence as he pulled up to the out look, and I glanced over at him.
"Are you mad at me?" I stared at him in surprise.
"Why would I be mad at you Axel?" I questioned in surprised, and he shrugged.
"Normally that's why most people decide to stop talking to someone." I stared at him as he turned to look at me tension thick in the air.
I subconciously took in everyone of his beautiful features that I had missed way more than I would ever like to admit.
"I wasn't mad at you, I just had to clear my head."
"Was I getting to you?" He questioned with a smug smirk, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, that's what it was." I said as I gave him a playful shove.
"You know how it is, I have that affect on the female population." He said in a cocky voice, and I cocked an eyebrow at him.
"One day, your ego is going to hit you in the face. When you finally get turned down by someone you like, because they have no interest in you." I replied as I examined my finger nails.
"It's already hit me in the face, and I think I might get hit again." He said, and I glanced at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?" I honestly wanted to know,, it wasn't often when Axel seemed vulnerable, but right now as I looked over at him that's exactly what he appeared to be.
"You've never wondered why I don't get along with Ryder?" He question with a bitter laugh, and I shrugged because I honestly had wondered.
"Well freshman year there was this girl named Sophia, at first I hadn't wanted anything to do with her, but eventually she got to me. Ryder knew how much I liked her, but of course being the self-centered ass he is, he didn't care. She kept telling me she didn't like him, and I don't think she did at first, but when I caught her with him she even tried to deny it then. My mom sent him off when we wouldn't stop fighting, but now he's back." He said, and gave me a pointed look.
"What, did I do something wrong?"
He shrugged. "I don't know did you?"
We sat in silence for a while as I processed what I had just heard, and it wasn't until a few minutes later that I realized what he was trying to say about me. "You like me?"
He furowed his brow at me. "Is it not obvious?"
I shrugged. "I thought I was just another girl you were trying to add to your list."
He clenched his jaw. "You like Ryder."
"No, I don't like him, because for him as soon as I showed no interest he moved on. You didn't?" It came out as more of a question than a statement.
He shook his head. "No, I didn't."
Once again we were trapped in an odd silence. "Do you still think I would do what that girl did?"
He studied my face in silence as if the correct answer were written across my forehead. "I don't know."
Moving closer to him I bit down on my lip as my eyes shifted towards his. "I wouldn't do that to you, or anyone, and besides Ryder may look like you, but if it counts for anything I find you way more attractive."
"Oh, you do?" Axel said with a smile as he moved closer to me, and before I knew what was happening he pulled me into his lap.
"Yeah, I do." I replied with a smile as he turned me around to straddle his waist, and my back touched the stearing wheel.
"Prove it." He said against my neck as his lips brushed acros my skin causing me to shudder.
"Well I would never do this to him." I said as I lifted his face from my neck, and began to trail kisses down his neck sucking lightly, before I put my lips to his.
The kiss was hot, and filled with so much want it was practically suffocating. But I had never wanted to be suffocated so badly, his want was what pushed me to make the next move in removing his shirt as he layed his seat back.
I stared down at him for a second with a smirk before I leaned down putting my lips to his, and I let out a soft moan when he bit down on my lip while his fingers played with the hem of my shirt.
Slowly I trailed kisses down his chest before heading back up, and placing my lips on his.
I had never been so carefree in my life, but at the moment I didn't really care.
He pulled my shirt over my head, and I felt slightly self-concious as his eyes took everything in. "You've lost weight."
I pressed my lips together before putting my lips back to his not wanting his to say anything else.
"Shutup."
He chuckled against my mouth as his finger moved up to my hair which he ran his fingers through.
"Are you still a virgin?" He suddenly asked as he pulled away from me slightly, and I furrowed my brow.
"Uhm, yeah . . . I am." I replied questioningly, and he sighed.
"We can't do this then."
"What? Why?" I questioned disappointment etched across my face as he sat up reaching for his shirt.
"Because I don't want to ruin your first time for you, and for it to be in a car just because we felt like doing it. If I'm going to be your first I want it to be special." I stared at him dumbfounded.
God, I'm such a slut.
"Uhm, okay." I replied as I grabbed my shirt, and slid into it before climbing out of the car, and getting in on my side.
"Sorry." He said, and I glanced towards him very confused.
"For what?" I asked as I turned in my seat to face him, and he gave me a sideways look.
"Are you mad at me?"
"Why in the world would I be mad at you for stopping me for doing something that should wait?" He shrugged, and I cracked a smile at him.
"Your an idiot." I said giggling as I leaned forward putting my lips to his for a short kiss.
"Yeah, but I'm your idiot."
