Chapter Twenty-nine: The new girl

Claire, Axel, Tyler, and I made our way to one of the three lines that were full of my fellow classmates who seemed to be insanely happy compared to the four of us, and based on the looks on our faces every step we took was one of dread.

I was really regretting the choice to come on this trip.

"I'm really regretting getting on that big yellow twinkie, I shoulda stayed home." Claire whined, and I found myself smiling at how in sync the two of us are.

"Yeah, no kidding. I feel like things hit the fan the moment I chose to sit in the aisle seat between Axel and Tyler. I can't imagine things'll get much better over the next few days." I said, and Claire groaned loudly.

"Well, now you just jinxed us. How many times do I have to get on to you for being a Negative Nancy?" She questioned while wildly throwing her hands in the air. "Everyone thank Samantha Hastings, because she just put us all in an early grave! You heard me right she just killed us off! The rapture is upon us!" Claire yelled as she pointed at me, and I frowned.

"Calm down, Pensatucky." Ty said as he pulled her small frame against himself chuckling deeply.

Someone took a trip to crazy town . . .

"Sorry, I might have went a little overboard." I laughed as she grinned sheepishly.

"A little? You just told the whole camp to thank me for putting them in an early grave!" I stated as I continued to laugh.

A really pretty girl I'd never seen before with caramel colored skin, a long, thick curly mane, and big brown doe eyes laughed, before correcting me, "No, I think it was more along the lines of you putting us all in an early grave, followed closely by you being a murderer, oh oh oh and my favorite part is where she let's us all in on the fact that you, just like we all suspected, will be the cause of an apocalyptic rapture. I always knew it would be someone in little old Seaboard, Washington's fault, damn I shoulda put money on it."
I burst with laughter along with anyone who heard what she said, and I do mean anyone which consisted of most of the camper's considering how quiet it had gotten after Pensatucky Jr.'s insane outburst.

"That was spot on, I always knew I had a higher purpose in life. Just never guessed it would be to that extent, but hey I'll take what I can get." I said as I calmed down a bit.

"I'm Lauren by the way, and let's see if I get this right you're the murderer/ Apocalypse bringer Samantha, you are Samantha's Best friend/ Tyler's girlfriend Claire a.k.a Pensatucky, The all-known bad boy Axel, and the Golden boy Tyler a.k.a Samantha's twin/Claire's boyfriend. It can get a little overwhelming remembering all of the stuff I'm told about you guys. People talk about you all like you're a real life soap opera. Your not really pregnant are you?" I sputtered in confusion, and held my hand over my heart.

"Samantha Marie Hastings, what is she talking about?" Tyler grounded out his eyes flickering between Axel and I with anger.

"What, no?! I don't know! Why did you ask that?" I questioned, and Tyler groaned.

"You don't know?!" He yelled his eyes practically shooting bullets at myself, and a shocked silent, confused Axel.

"No, I do know! I mean I don't know! Shit! What I'm trying to say is that I know for a fact that's not possible because I'm still . . . you know a uhm -virgin. I was simply saying that I don't know what she is talking about. Calm down Jeez, I'm not an idiot." I spoke in a long winded manner as I struggled to get my point across.

They all visibly relaxed, and we all turned back to face Lauren who appeared to be regretting her decision to ever bring the topic up in the first place.
