~Eliza POV~
The next morning Eliza woke up 2 hours before she had to get ready for school. She checked her phone and saw three more texts from Alex. She put her phone away, deciding not to read them. Then she changed, cooked breakfast for her, Angelica, and Peggy, then read a few books until her sisters woke up.
When her sisters were ready for school, Peggy noticed that she couldn't find one of her notebooks. She looked everywhere frantically.
"Have you seen my thing, like the thingy thing thing?!" Peggy asked Eliza and Angelica, making wild hand gestures to try to convey her meaning.
Eliza laughed. Her sister got like this sometimes and wouldn't stop calling stuff 'thing'. The sisters called it 'speaking Peggy', and they all sometimes did it. You could say that they were fluent in 'Peggy'.
After Peggy found her notebook, (which was on the floor next to the couch) they all ate breakfast and rode the bus to school.
The three sisters all had different schedules and split up to go to their separate classes. Eliza had history first, which was her favorite subject. She slid into her seat a minute before the bell rang and pulled out her materials. Her classmates soon entered the room and sat down. Eliza was surprised to see Alexander Hamilton sitting next to her on her right. John Laurens sat to her left. She read her textbook and pretended to ignore Alex, while giving Laurens a quick hello.
Eliza kept reading until their teacher, Mr. Miller, walked in and announced a pop quiz on Greek Mythology. Eliza smiled to herself as the rest of the class groaned. She loved the Greek Myths. Most of her bookshelves at home were filled with fantasy and historical books.
She took the quiz and finished it within ten minutes and flipped it over to a blank page so that no one could see her answers.
Eliza set her pen down and pulled out one of her favorite books, Les Misérables. She loved the musical and recently started reading the novel by Victor Hugo.
Eliza heard noises to her right. She looked over and saw Alex flip over his quiz. He noticed her looking and gave her a small smile. She smiled back at him and went back to reading, her long dark hair covering her pink cheeks that she got whenever she came in contact with Alex.
The rest of the class finished their quizzes and Mr. Miller collected them. To Eliza's surprise, once everyone had finished their quizzes class was almost over. Mr. Miller, seeing no point in teaching for 5 more minutes, let them have a quiet reading/study period.
After the bell rang Eliza went to her locker to pick up a few books for the classes until lunch. Walking to her locker, number 57, she thought she saw Alex slip something through the slits on her locker door. She dismissed the thought, entered her combination, and opened her locker. A small piece of blue paper fell out and fluttered to the ground by her feet. She picked it up. It was a sticky note with a simple heart on it. Eliza frowned and turned it over. On the back were the initials A.H.
The first person that came to mind was Alexander Hamilton. Eliza shook her head and put the note in her pocket. She'd ask Alex about it at lunch.
