~ Angelica POV~
Angelica woke up in a familiar surrounding. She was laying in her bedroom with light streaming through her windows with thin dark pink curtains. Angelica groaned and sat up. Her legs, head, and chest hurt. So, basically everything. Then she remembered. The gangsters beating her up. And the three people who had intervened.
There was a knock on her door.
" Come in." Angelica muttered.
Eliza and Peggy entered the room. They both looked surprised that Angelica was awake. Peggy crushed her in a hug while Eliza sat at the foot of her bed and smiled at her. Peggy pulled away and studied her sister. Angelica could tell from her eyes that she was worried. Eliza stood up.
"So, you have a bruise on your stomach, but other then that, you seem to be okay, but recurring headaches might happen. Just take it easy, Angie." Eliza said in a professional voice.
Angelica rolled her eyes at her sister. "Thanks, doctor." she mumbled.
Eliza looked embarrassed while Peggy laughed. Eliza looked at her younger sister and Peggy's face turned serious.
"Oh and by the way, the gang got away but the three people who brought you here are still downstairs. We let them stay the night." Peggy said.
Angelica nodded. " Who are they?" she asked.
"Lafayette, Laurens, and Hamilton." Peggy answered, shooting a smirk at Eliza on the last name.
Eliza pointedly ignored Peggy and left to bring Angelica some food.
Once Eliza was gone, Angelica raised an eyebrow at Peggy.
"What happened here while I was gone?" she asked.
Peggy tried to look confused. " What do you mean?"
Angelica rolled her eyes again. " Don't think I didn't see you smirk at Eliza when you said Hamilton. What happened?"
Peggy looked trapped. "Um... nothing."
Angelica crossed her arms stubbornly. " Obviously something. Come on just tell me."
Peggy sighed. " Well maybe something did go down but she made me swear to secrecy."
"Why?"
"Heck I don't know!" Peggy said in exasperation, throwing her hands up.
Angelica quieted her voice. "I promise I won't tell. She will never know that I know."
Peggy hesitated for a second, and in that moment Eliza came back in the room with a plate of chocolate chip pancakes , syrup, and orange juice. Angelica smiled at her sister, but she still wanted to know what happened while she was away.
" Did you get my call?" Angelica asked.
"Um yeah I got it, I picked up didn't I?" Eliza said in a well duh tone of voice.
"Oh yeah you did." Angelica said, a bit embarrassed. She continued to eat her food.
Peggy cut into the awkward silence.
"So after you called, me and Eliza were getting on our coats and shoes to come and look for you when the three aforementioned knocked and carried you in and put you up here. "
Angelica nodded.
Peggy then excused herself to go downstairs and Eliza started to follow, but Angelica grabbed her arm and made her sit down again.
"What happened between you and Alex?" she asked.
Eliza looked surprised but managed to feign ignorance. "What?"
Angelica glared at her. "Peggy shot you a smirk when she mentioned Alexander Hamilton. I know that something happened. Just tell me already."
Eliza sighed and stood up and opened the door for her to leave before turning back around to her sister.
"IkissedAlex now leave me alone and you are forbidden to tell anyone." she said and left.
Angelica smiled and finished eating her breakfast.
