in this story, Toby and Yvonne doesn't get into the crash, but Spencer does

Toby's POV

"Hello?" I said as I answered the phone. 

The person was crying, sobbing softly

"Toby?" the voice said

"Emily"

"Yea it's me" she said. Why was she calling me at three in the morning. More importantly why was she crying.

"Em, is everything okay"? I start to worry. What was happening. I decided to leave the bedroom so I won't wake up Yvonne. I stepped outside the trailer truck and sat on the bench

"it's Spencer" she said. My hands begin to shake and my heart starts racing. What happened to Spencer

"What happened to Spencer, i-is she okay" my breath begins to shake

"No, w-we were coming back from a party when another car hit us. The rest of us are fine but the truck hit Spencer's side, really hard,a-and shes badly broken Toby, she's in a coma

I felt a tear run down my face "When did this happen"? I softly cried

"over a week, and she hasn't woken up since" she said

"What! Why didn't you guys tell me sooner, I would've been there to support" I whispered loudly

"We thought that Spencer wouldnt want you to know because you have Yvonne to worry about, but I'm telling now because, she's not getting any better and the doctors might pull the plug, so if you want, come down here to say your last goodbye"

I hung up the phone and placed my head on the table and let out a cry.

I haven't spoken to Spencer since I proposed to Yvonne, which was 6 months ago, and now I'm never going to see, or hear that beautiful raspy voice again.

I didn't bother changing my clothes, I put on my boots and I headed over to the hospital.

As I drove, I began to think about her, and as I think, I cry.

She was my first love, my first everything. How can someone so tough, and so smart, just go away. How can she just leave me like that?

I drive up the to the hospital and immediately ran to where the girls were.

"Emily" I shout

She turns around and immediately runs over to me

"Is she okay?" I asked

"It's a miracle, shes awake, I tried to call you to let you know" she said happily

"She's okay, can I see her?" I asked

"yeah but you have to wait until Hanna comes out, only one person at a time" she said

I nodded and we took a seat and waited

"Did they find the guy who hit you guys?" I asked

"Well because how hard he hit, he died on impact. They said he hit his head really hard on the wheel'

"Oh wow" I said in shocked.

As we talked I noticed that Hanna was done, I excused myself and headed to Spencer

"Toby?" Hanna said "When did you get here?" she said in shocked

"I heard what happened to Spencer, so I came to see how she was"

"Well, she's asleep now, so try not to wake her up" she patted my shoulder and left

"Toby" Emily called out
