The Wedding Pact

Authors note: Now I don't approve of a marriage pact, i have no idea whats the deal, and why people do it, but I watched a movie called "The Wedding Pact", it was nice so I doing a one shot based on that.

10 years ago......

Toby's POV

"Well man, we did it, we finally finished college" my best friend Caleb said as he opened up a beer.

"yeah man, it's exciting" I smiled. Caleb and I have been best friends since I started here. We were both roommates. Now that College is over, we have to go our separate ways..

"Did you say goodbye to Spencer yet" CAleb asked. I blushed. I've been in love with Spencer since the moment I first laid eyes on her. She is everything a guy can ask for. She's super smart, kind, a bit sassy, a good sense of humor, she's really good at sports especially field hockey and aerial silks. I never actually told her I have feelings for her. Everytime I try to talk to her, she gives me butterflies and I forget what to say.

"No I havent yet, have you said goodbye to Hanna yet" I mock.

"Yeah, cause unlike you, I can speak to a girl without fainting" Caleb laughs. As we were talking Spencer starts walking towards us.

"Ohhh I'm going to miss my favorite guys" Spencer says as she hugs us both. She lets go and we smile at her.

"I'm going to grab another beer, you want one" Caleb ask

"Uh no thanks man" I replied. He then leaves, so it's just Spencer and I......alone.....by ourselves. Gosh she's so gorgeous

"Toby" Spencer says as she waves her hand in my face, snapping me out of my thought

"yeah"

"did you hear what I said" she smiled

"of course...duh" I said

"What did I say then" she puts her hands on her hips

"You asked me what did you say" I laughed

"ha-ha-ha, you're so funny Cavanaugh" she teased. "I asked you, what will you be doing now college is over"

"Well I'm either going to work in Carpentry, or join the Police Academy" I smiled "What about you Hastings"

"Well I'm thinking Interior Design, or Law firm" she smiled showing her perfectly white teeth.

"Maybe one day we can work together, if you choose Interior Design" I said

"That would be great" she replied. 

*honk honk*

"Well that looks like my ride" she said. SHe gives me a big hug and kisses me on the cheek

"I love you, and I'm gonna miss you the most" she whispers in my ear.

"I love you and I'm going to miss you more" I said.

She lets go and starts to leave. "Wait" she stops and turns around. She comes towards me

"I have an idea" she says

"What"

"In 10 years if neither of us is married, how about you and I get married" she slids her hands into mine and smiles. Is she serious, she wants to marry me

"I-uh- yeah sure, why not" I said. she lets go of my hand and smiles.

"Well I gotta go, call me okay, bye Toby" and with that she drove away with her friends.
