Xander
Holy freaking Jesus, she is holding my hand! I was to scared to do it myself, what if she pulls away? Thank The Lord she did it for me. Kayla tunes her head to me and smile slightly, showing her perfect teeth. Trying to be a good boyfriend person thing, I smile back. Clove is smiling massively as I turn round to them. On the other hand, Cato just looks annoyed holding Brianna. All day he hasn't been himself; constantly he kept insulting Finnick and saying was a dick he was! To be honest, it was funny, but clearly not to him.
Clove let's Kayla and I sit alone in the posh restaurant whilst they sit a few tables away.
"Can I take your order?", asks an overly cheerful waitress.
"Uh...I will have the salmon special with no oregano", I say as smoothly as possible.
"And I will have the prawn salad", adds Kayla.
"What can I get you to drink?", she then asks. I turn to Kayla as if to ask her.
"We will both have...lime and soda water please", I say. When the waitress, who's name is Cathy, goes away, I attempt to make conversation.
"I have never been to district 4 before!", I tell her.
"Me neither, it's really beautiful".
"Yeah, you are". The blush in her cheeks come back, "I mean...district 4 is. But you also are", I say quietly.
Cathy returns later with both our meals and drinks on silver trays and transparent glasses.
"Thank you", we say together.
"So", Kayla says after taking a gulp of her drink, "We don't really know each other that well. So what are your hobbies? Apart from breathing".
"That's about it!", I laugh, "I don't really no, I suppose I like to play guitar. Then I tend to save you quite a lot", she laughs and thanks me at this, "How about you? Your clearly much more talented than me".
"No way! I kinda like anything music related, like you. I used to like spear and knife throwing but I'm trying to out grow that", she says.
"Told you", I sing.
"What? I'm no way more talented then you", she laughs softly.
"Yes, you are".
"No, I'm not".
"Okay, okay. You win, I'm like Jesus".
"You are my saviour, I guess", she says quietly, but not a whisper.
"You guess?", I joke.
"Sorry, I know. Your my hero, Xander and I don't know what I would do without you".
"Die".
"Probably".
The rest of the evening was great! When we got back, we all sat down to watch a movie called "Despicable Me". It was so funny! Best part was that the whole time I had my arm around Kayla and she rested her head on my shoulder. Kayla's hair smelt of pineapples and the sea, very exotics. I had to stop myself from just smelling her hair!
After the movie, Brianna was put to bed so us four could prepare the decorations for tomorrow. Once again, Cato and Clove make no eye contact or even speak. All day they have been acting weird, and yesterday. I just hope they stay together, they are like family to me, all my blood relations are dead or avoxs due to Snow.
"Is this okay?", Clove asks from hallway, admiring the banner she put up. Kayla and I tip toe round to see.
"Why don't you ask Finnick?", he hisses but Clove just grunts and continues.
"We need to do something", I whisper into Kayla's ear.
That night, instead of going to bed, Kayla and I built a fort out of pillows and blankets to plan a way to get Cato and Clove back together.
"We can't really do anything special tomorrow as it's Brianna's birthday", says Kayla with her head on my shoulder.
"True. How about we ask the others tomorrow to help?", I suggest rubbing her shoulder.
"I just hope everything will be okay", she whispers.
"It will".
I wake up in the morning, still in our fort with Kayla's body draped across mine, our fingers entwined. Her eyes flutter open and her lips form a soft, small smile.
"Sorry, I must of been squashing you", she laughs propping herself up on one elbow.
"Your really light!", I say, "We better get going downstairs".
As we walk out of the bedroom, we hear Brianna in the master bedroom.
"Happy birthday!", says Clove to Brianna who is sitting on her lap.
"Happy birthday!", Kayla and I say together before hugging her.
"Uh, where is Cato?", asks Kayla. #risktaker
"Downstairs", says Clove with any emotion, "Let's all go downstairs!". Clove jumps out of bed in her very mature bunny onesie and slips on bunny slippers. I notice that Kayla has a matching one! Whereas Kayla just wears plain pyjamas, same as me. Clove begins to sing as we all skips downstairs and into the hallway full of balloons and banners.
"Wow!", exclaims Brianna and claps.
In the living room, presents wrapped up very neatly are places in a pile along with Cato blowing up a last balloon.
"Good morning princess!", greets Cato, taking Brianna away from Clove, "And princess Kayla", he laughs hugging her slightly, "Princess Xander!", he jokes ruffling my hair, "Present time!", says in a sing-song voice. Brianna takes a small one from the pile and begins to unwrap it, with the help of Cato.
"Let me get the video recorder", says Clove leaving the room and returning seconds later with the video recorder, "Okay go".
"What is it Brianna?", asks Cato smiling happily. We watch as Brianna makes a gasping sounds and her mouth forms an "O".
"I love it!", she squeals hugging a pile of new clothes.
"What is it?", asks Clove from behind the video recorder.
"Pretty clothes! Thank you!", Brianna says.
We stay sitting in the living room for another 40 minutes opening up her others presents and cards.
"Who wants a special birthday breakfast?", asks Cato, "It's...pancakes!". Brianna claps her hands excitedly, then following Cato into the kitchen.
"Come on", says Clove slowly getting up and following them out. Kayla and I exchange worried glances. Today, we must ask Carla, Annie and possibly Finnick to help us in our plan.
