Chapter 1 - New Town

"Eren, wake up. It's morning."

"Eh?" I rub my eyes and see my mom opening my bedroom window.

"Did you sleep well?" She asked with a smile. I nod with a grin. "Now, let's go downstairs and have breakfast. Also, change your clothes, we're going shopping today. " My mom says handing me my shirt. I quickly change and head downstairs.

I see Mikasa sitting by Dad eating her salad. "Good morning, Eren." She says looking up at me.

"Good morning."

After we finished eating breakfast, Dad quickly got up and said, "Well, I guess I'll be off."

"Be safe." My mom said placing his leather hat on his head. "Bye-bye" Mikasa and I wave as he closes the door.

"Eren," my mom said placing her hand on my shoulder. "Why don't you and Mikasa go upstairs and get ready? We're going to leave soon."

"Sure. Come on, Mikasa"

"Eren, don't forget to bring some change."

"I got it. Geez, you don't have to keep reminding me Mikasa."

"You forgot to bring it last time. And the other two weeks before that." She says lifting up our bags.

"W-well that's because I had a lot on my mind then."

"Sureeee."

Suddenly, the sound of glass breaking came from downstairs. "What was that just now?" I ask looking at Mikasa. She had a worried look on her face.

"I dunno. Let's go check it out." We quietly head head downstairs and notice that a window had been broken by the front door. We both gasp; there was blood on the glass.

"MOM! Mom, where are you?!" I frantically search around the rooms until I reach the kitchen.

"M-mom..?" I see my mom lying in the arms of a man in a black robe with blood dripping from her head.

"D-don't come near... Eren.." My mom says barely conscious. Then, the man in the black robe suddenly bit my mom on her neck. My mom flinches and begins struggling. Her blood was dripping off her neck as the man sucked on her throat.

"Huh? No, this can't be happening. What the hell? Fangs? Mom, are you ok? Mom..? MOM?!" I rush towards the dark man and start yelling, "Get away from her!!!" I get ready to punch him in the face until Mikasa grab my arm from behind.

"Eren, no!" She gets ahold of both my arms and pulls me back. I try to get loose but I can't, her grips too strong.

"Mikasa can't you see, mom?! We need to save her!"

"Eren, take a good look at him. He's obviously not human. He has fangs. He's probably a vampire." The man in the dark robe glances at me. I froze. He had blood red eyes that literally paralyzed me.

"A v-vampire?!"

"Also, take a look at what mom is trying to say.."

"Eh?" I look over at my mom. She looks super pale.

I gotta save her! Then I look over at her mouth.

She whispers, "Run. Get away from here! Run. Mikasa take Eren and run!"

"Mom..? Eh? No. MOM!" I reach out for my mom calling out to her. But then my vision started to get blurry.

I rub my head looking at the man who killed my mom. The last thing I see was the glowing red eyes that haunted me for life. Everything went black.

My voice echoes through my head. I gasp and jolt up from my bed. I was sweating a lot again. Sigh, it's that dream again. Huh, mom?

There was a light knock at my door. "Eren, are you awake?" It was Mikasa. My adopted sister.
