Chapter 11 - Unexpected Capture

Levi's POV

After staying at the pub for awhile, we decided to head back for the night since most of the Shapeshifters were probably asleep. As we head out we saw Erwin standing there.

"Erwin!" Hanji exclaims blinking her eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"I was getting bored in the the castle so I decided to come visit you guys. How was the mission?" He said as he took a step closer to us.

"It was a failure. We couldn't sense anybody. They're pretty good at hiding their presence." I said in an annoyed tone.

"Don't worry, Levi. It's only the first day. I'm sure it'll work out somehow."

"Tch."

"Haha yeah.." Hanji said looking over at Erwin. "Still, it's quite strange for you to actually leave the castle."

"Is that so? Well, I got the opportunity to walk around and even look into a small antique shop." He said with a grin.

"You guys can stand here all night talking about your day. I'm going back." I said walking away from the conversation.

"W-wait, Levi!" Hanji said dragging Petra along with her. We all ended up walking together. Erwin said that the fastest way up the mountain was to go through he trail behind the stables so we quietly behind the carts again.

While we were standing by, I saw Eren and that girl Mikasa walk out to the stables. At first I saw them having a conversation until the girl placed her head on Eren's chest.

That bitch!

My chest tightened when I saw Eren hug her back. They stood there for awhile, having a quiet conversation until the girl tugged on Eren's shirt and kissed him.

Eren's POV

As Mikasa, Armin and I quietly head back to the motel, Mikasa told me she wanted to talk to me.

"Uh, I'll see you later, Armin." I said to him.

"Yeah. See ya." He waved at me then at Mikasa before he ran into the dining hall. Mikasa led me to the back, where the horse stables were. The forest and our surroundings were all dark. It was strange, it felt like someone was watching us.. I follow Mikasa until she stops to look at me.

"Eren.." Her bangs covered her eyes and her voice was soft.

"Mikasa.. I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have-"

"No, I'm sorry for being so protective. I just really.." She looked down and leaned onto my chest. I hugged her back and squeezed her tightly.

"It's ok, Mikasa.."

"Eren.. I love you.." She muttered something but her voice was so soft and shaky that I couldn't tell what it was.

"What did you say?" I pull back a bit and look down at her face. Then in a flash, she tugged my shirt, leaned in and kissed me. My eyes widen as she leans in closer to deepen the kiss.

A few seconds later, she slowly pulled away from me and averted my gaze. I began to blush and cover my face. We stood there silently until Sasha yelled at us from behind.

"Eren! Mikasa! Hurry up! Dinner is ready!"

"Y-yeah." Mikasa said and quickly ran off to Sasha.

"Hey, Mikasa, why is your face so red?" Sasha asked poking her cheek. As a result, Mikasa poked her sides. Making Sasha jump backwards.

"Wah! Don't touch me there! Come on, let's just go eat!" Before following Sasha into the dining room, Mikasa glanced at me with a shy smile. Did that really just happen? My sister just kissed me. I comb my fingers through my messy hair and take a step back. After walking back and forth I sat down on a boulder by the horse stalls.
