Elua's POV.
Sokka and I split up from Zuko and Suki, making our way to where all the prisoners are lined up in front of the warden.
"Excuse me, coming through. The Warden wants us over there sorry," Sokka says as we squeeze past guards standing in our way and walk over to stand in a line of guards.
"Welcome to the Boiling Rock. I'm sure you've all heard the horrible rumors about our little island," The Warden says as he stands with his hands behind his back. "Well, I just want to tell you that they don't have to be true. As long as you do everything I say," He says as he walks in front of the prisoners, stopping when he sees Hakoda.
"Look me in the eye when I'm talking to you," The Warden tells Hakoda with a threatening glare.
"No," Hakoda says sharply.
"Oh, you'd rather look at my shoes? Then take a look!" The Warden shouts as he grabs Hakoda and pushes him to the ground. Sokka goes to help his father, but I grab his hand and shake my head softly.
"I know exactly who you are, Hakoda of the Water Tribe. So strong-willed. But, don't worry, we'll get rid of that in time," The Warden says with an evil smirk. "Now, look me in the eye," He orders and this time, Hakoda listens.
"See? Isn't that better?" The Warden asks him and then proceeds to start walking away. "You will all do as I say or pay the price. You will all-" He starts to say, but Hakoda trips him with the cuffs on his wrists and the Warden falls to the ground. Sokka and I hide our laughter as some of the guards rush over to the Warden.
"Are you okay, Sir?" One of the guards asks.
"I'm fine!" The Warden shouts as he stands up. "Get these prisoners out of my sight!" He shouts as he storms off and the prisoners are taken away.
"I'm gonna go find his cell," Sokka whispers to me, I nod and we go our separate ways.Later.
I had been in Suki's cell for a little while now, I had told her of all the things that had happened since we saw her last. We both look over to the cell door as it opens and Sokka walks in.
"Did you find him?" I ask in a hushed tone as I step off the wall I had been leaning on.
"Yeah, I just talked to him," Sokka says with a small smile.
"That's great," Suki says happily.
"Yeah and we're escaping today. On the gondola," He tells us, we look at him shocked.
"What?" Suki and I say at the same time.
"My dad and I came up with a plan together. We're gonna commandeer the gondola and we're gonna take a hostage with us so they won't cut the lines," Sokka explains.
"We'll never make it onto the gondola. There are too many guards," Suki says skeptically.
"My dad already thought of that. He said we'll need a distraction. That's why we're gonna start a prison riot," Sokka states.
"Okay. Let's say by some miracle this all works and we make it on the gondola. The Warden will still just cut the lines, even if we have a captive," I tell him with a look
"Not if the Warden is the captive," Sokka says, we look at him with an 'Oh' look. We hear footsteps walking down the hall, Sokka quickly looks out of the slit in the door. "We have to go. we'll find you before we start the riot," He tells Suki as he opens the door to her cell and we walk out."Hey, you!" A female guard shouts from behind us, making us turn around. "The Warden wants to see you," She says pointing to Sokka.
"Why?" Sokka asks nervously.
"I don't know. I didn't ask," The female guard says.
"Maybe I could schedule another time with him? How's tomorrow?" Sokka asks as we start to walk away, but two guards grab Sokka by his arms.
"He wants to see you, now," The female guard says sternly.
"I'll meet you in the yard," Sokka whispers to me as they drag him away, leaving me to worry. In The Yard.
All the prisoners were out of their cells and in the yard. I was standing around, looking for Sokka nervously. I hope he was alright. I continue to look around until I spot him looking around the yard in front of me. I sigh in relief as I run over and hug him. He makes an 'Oof!' sound, not expecting me.
"I thought they were going lock you up," I tell him. He sighs as he wraps his arms around me.
"I'm okay," Sokka reassures me. "Come on," He says as he takes my hand and we walk over to Hakoda and Suki.
"This is it. We have to start a riot," Sokka states.
"Okay, but how do we do that?" Suki asks.
"I'll show you," Hakoda says as he walks over to a prisoner and pushes him.
"Hey, why did you do that for? That hurt my feelings," The prisoner says with a frown.
"Aren't you mad at me?" Hakoda asks him.
"Uhh, well normally I would be, but I've been working to control my anger," The prisoner explains. We all stare in shock for a moment.
"This isn't working," I state.
"Hey, you," I hear someone say beside us. I look over and see, Chit Sang. "You're lucky I didn't rat you out. But, my generosity comes with a price. I know you're planning another escape attempt and I want in," Chit Sang says as he punches his fist into his hand.
"Actually, we're trying to escape right now. But, we need a riot," Sokka tells him. "You wouldn't happen to know how to start one, would you?" He asks."A prison riot? Please," Chit Sang says as he pushes Sokka aside and grabs a smaller prisoner, lifting him up into the air. "Hey! Riot!" He shouts and all the prisoners start fighting and firebending at each other.
"Impressive," Hakoda says as we run behind a building, away from the fire flying everywhere. I hear someone throw a guard down to the floor and turn to see Zuko.
"Zuko, good. We're all here," Sokka states. "Now, all we need to do is grab the Warden and get to the gondolas," He says as he points up to the higher deck of the prison.
"And how do we do that?" Zuko asks.
"I'm not sure," Sokka says.
"Argh, I thought you thought this through," Zuko says in frustration.
"I thought you told me it's okay not to think everything through!" Sokka shouts, becoming flustered.I look over to Suki with the same idea in mind. We smile at each other and run toward all the prisoners, jumping on them and using their heads to get across the yard. We jump onto the railings of the building and land on the bridge. Several guards start to attack us, but we easily fight them off. We run down the railing dodging fireblast and punches, one of the fireblasts almost hits Suki but I bend it away and send it back at the guard who threw it and knocking him to the ground.
"Thanks!" Suki says as she smiles.
"Anytime!" I say as we continue to run down the bridge. A guard starts to run at us, I slid under him and run at the Warden while Suki takes care of the other guards. The Warden goes to punch me, but I grab his hand and hold my fist in front of his face."You wouldn't dare," The Warden says glaring at me.
"Try me," I say with a smirk as tie his hands behind his back and pull his headband over his mouth.
"Sorry Warden, you're our prisoner now," Suki says smirking as the others run over to us.
"We've got the Warden, now let's get out of here," I tell them as I throw the Warden against the wall and hold him there.
"That's some girl," I hear Hakoda say to Sokka. I look over to them and see Sokka staring at me with a dreamy look, making me laugh softly.
"Tell me about it," Sokka says still staring at me.
"Let's go!" Suki says as we all begin to make our way to the gondola.
