Third Person POV.
Everyone had just finished packing everything up when they realized Aang and Elua were missing. They all walk down to the beach, the only to be found are Aang's footprints.
"The trail ends here," Sokka states as they look out at the water.
"So...He went for a midnight swim and never came back?" Suki asks worriedly.
"Maybe he was captured," Katara says, becoming concerned as well.
"I don't think so. There's no sign of a struggle," Sokka states.
"I bet he ran away again," Toph says.
"Ah-uh. He left behind his glider and Appa," Sokka tells her.
"Then what do you think happened to him oh sleuthy one?" Toph sasses.
"It's pretty obvious," Sokka says as he stands up straight.
"Aang mysteriously disappears before an important battle? He's definitely on a Spirit World journey," He states.
"But, if he was, wouldn't his body still be here?" Zuko asks.
"Oh yeah, forgot about that," Sokka says as his shoulders slump.
"Then he's gotta be somewhere on Ember Island," Katata states. "Let's split up and look for him," She suggests.
"But, what about Elua?" Suki asks in concern.
"I'm not sure. But, we'll probably find her around here somewhere," Katara states.
"I'm going with Zuko!" Toph shouts as she grabs onto his arm, making everyone go silent. "What? Everyone else went on a life-changing field trip with Zuko. Now it's my turn," She says. Toph, Zuko, Katara and Suki all go look for Aang, while Sokka gets onto Appa and tries to find Elua.A Little Later.
Elua's POV.
I had stayed on the beach all night, I had a feeling that Aang was no longer on the island and I knew if I had gone back that I would have followed him. I knew that Loha was right and that I had to let Aang find his own way, so I stayed here. I hear Appa land behind me and the sound of someone's feet hitting the sand.
"I've been looking everywhere for you," Sokka says as he walks over to me. "Everyone is worried about you," He tells me as he puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you," I say tiredly.
"We've been looking for Aang too, he's missing and-" He starts to explain, but I cut him off.
"I know," I tell him simply as I look out at the water.
"You do? How?" Sokka asks me in confusion.
"A Spirit told me," I say.
"Alright then," Sokka mumbles. "Well, we should get back to the others," He tells me, I sigh and nod as he helps me off the ground and we get on Appa, flying back to the beach house.
"Elua! You're okay!" Suki and Katara shout happily as I hop off Appa and they engulf me in a hug.
"Yeah, sorry for worrying you," I say with a small smile.
"Judging by the looks on your faces, I'm guessing you guys didn't find Aang," Sokka says as he looks over to Zuko and Toph, who have grim looks on their faces.
"No. It's like he just...disappeared," Zuko says.
"Hey, wait a minute, has anyone noticed that Momo's missing too?" Toph asks."Oh no! I knew it was only a matter of time," Sokka exclaims as he falls to his knees. "Appa ate Momo!" He shouts as his eyes go wide with horror. "Momo, I'm coming for ya, buddy!" He says as he begins to climb into Appa's mouth.
"Sokka, Appa didn't eat Momo," Katara tells him as she rolls her eyes. "He's probably with Aang," She states.
"That's just what Appa wants you to think," Sokka says dramatically as he continues to climb into Appa's mouth.
"Sokka, Appa doesn't eat other animals. He's a herbivore," I tell him, but he doesn't listen.
"Get out of the bison's mouth, Sokka," Zuko says as he crosses his arms. "We have a real problem here. Aang is nowhere to be found and the comet is only 2 days away," He states.
"What should we do?" Katara asks as everyone turns to look over to Zuko and I.
"Why are you all looking at us?" Zuko asks in confusion.
"Well, you are kind of the expert on tracking Aang and Elua normally knows what to do," Katara states.
"Yeah, and if anyone's got experience hunting the Avatar, it's you, Zuko," Toph tells him. Zuko looks over to me, I shrug and nod in agreeance. He sighs and thinks to himself for a moment.
"Okay, I have an idea," Zuko states as we all hop on Appa and he takes off into the sky as the sun begins to set in front of us.
"Zuko, I don't want to tell you how to do your job but, why are we heading towards the Earth Kingdom? There's no way Aang's there," Sokka states."Just trust me."
Later.
We had landed near an old tavern, near the outer wall of Ba Sing Se. We all follow Zuko inside and see a bunch of people drinking and laughing with each other.
"And the reason you brought us to a seedy Earth Kingdom tavern is what now?" Katara asks Zuko with a raised brow.
"June," Zuko answers pointing to a woman fighting a man with a cup in her hand.
"Oh yeah, that weird bounty hunter with the giant mole," Sokka says, remembering back to when He, Katara, Aang, and I almost split up.
"Mole? Her skin is flawless," Suki states as we watch June quickly get off her seat.
Making another opponent crash into the table, breaking it into pieces. The previous opponent quickly scrambles away as the other continues to attack June.
"No, she has this giant mole creature she rides around on," Sokka informs Suki.
"Her shirshu," Zuko states. "It's the only animal that can track Aang's sent anywhere in the World. It's the one shot we have of finding him," He tells us as June throws the man attacking her into another table.
"I don't know who this June lady is, but I like her," Toph says smiling as June sits back down and we make our way over to her. I really hope this works.
