Elua's POV.
We fly over the blue ocean, light waves run over the water and the sun makes it sparkle.
"You have no idea where you're going, do you?" Sokka asks Aang as he looks at a map.
"Well, I know it's by water," Aang answers. Sokka looks out at the ocean.
"I guess we're getting close then," Sokka says sarcastically.
"Hey, Katara! Check out this airbending trick!" Aang says. I look over to him as he airbends some marbles in the air."That's great Aang," Katara says, not looking up from sewing Sokka's pants.
"You didn't even look," Aang says as his shoulders slump. Katara looks up at Aang.
"That's great!" Katara says smiling.
"But, I'm not doing it now," Aang says dejectedly.
"Stop bugging her, airhead," Sokka tells him. "You need to give girls space when they do their sewing," Sokka tells Aang. I look over to him with an eyebrow raised."Excuse me?" I ask him with a small glare.
"What does being a girl have to do with sewing?" Katara asks with annoyance.
"Simple, girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that," Sokka says shrugging. "It's just the natural order of things." He says smugly. I look over to his sister and see her face go red with anger.
"All done with your pants! And look at what a great job I did!" Katara says throwing his pants at him."Wait! I was just kidding!" Sokka says as he puts his arm through the hole in them. "I can't wear these!" He exclaims. "Katara, please!" He begs, Katara scoffs and looks away from him. Sokka then turns to me with pleading eyes.
"Don't even ask," I say as I hold up my hand.
"Don't worry, Sokka. Where we're going, you won't need any pants!" Aang informs him with a smile. I look at him confused, I shake my head as we continue to fly.Later That Day.
We land on the beach of a crescent-shaped island. Snowy mountains sit behind us, dead cold trees line the sandy beach while the water washes over the sand.
"We just made a pit stop yesterday. Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?" Sokka asks Aang.
"He's right. At this rate, we won't get to the North Pole until spring." Katara states.
"But, Appa's tired already. Aren't you boy?" Aang asks his furry friend, but he just sits there."I said, aren't you boy?" He asks Appa again, this time Appa makes a grunting sound.
"Yeah, that was really convincing," Sokka says sarcastically. "Still, hard to argue with a ten-ton magical monster," He says shrugging.
"What is it we're here for, Aang?" I ask him. They were right, we should really keep moving.
"Elephant koi and I'm going to ride it," Aang tells me. "Katara, you've gotta watch me!" He says as he takes off his shirt and pants before he runs towards the water. "COLD!" Aang shouts as he dives into the water. He swims out into the water and dives under. When he comes back up he's riding a giant fish.
"Woo!" Katara cheers as she smiles at him.
"Be careful!" I shout, my 'protective older sister' coming out.
"He looks pretty good out there," Katara says smiling.
"Are you kidding? The fish is doing all the work." Sokka states with his arms crossed. Suddenly, Katara's eyes go wide as she looks behind us. I follow her gaze and see Appa eating something he shouldn't be eating."No, Appa! Don't eat that!" Katara shouts as she rushes over to Appa. Sokka and I keep an eye on Aang. Something swims under the water beside Aang, We both look closer and see some kind of fish. I begin to freak out
"There's something in the water!" I shout.
"What's wrong?" Katara asks as she walks back over to us.
"Aang's in trouble." Sokka states.
"Aang!" I shout trying to get his attention."Come back here!" Sokka yells. On impulse, I begin to run into the water. I feel the icy water touch my skin as it soaks through my pants and boots. "Elua, don't!" I hear Sokka shout and feel him gently grab my arm.
"He's gonna get himself killed!" I shout as he drags me back onto land.
"You won't be much help if you're dead too," He tells me, I sigh. He was right, but now I'm cold for no reason."Get out of there, Aang!" Katara shouts. Suddenly, a giant fin starts to follow Aang. He finally spots it and starts to rush back to the shore. When he gets back to us he crashes into Sokka, sending them flying into a tree. Aang stands back up and begins to put his clothes back on. I rush over to him and bring him into a hug.
"Are you alright?" I ask him worriedly, he nods and gives me a smile.
"What was that thing?" Katara asks."I'm not sure." Aang answers.
"Well, let's not stick around and find out. Time to hit the road." Sokka says as he starts to walk over to Appa. Suddenly, several people jump out from behind the trees and attack us. We try to fight back but to no avail. They put blindfolds over our heads and tie our hands behind our backs before they throw us to the ground.
"Or we could stay awhile," Sokka says. I sigh in frustration. I hope we're not here too long.A/n —> Sorry this chapter is so short. I am having writer's block for this story right now. Hopefully, I'll get inspiration soon. but until then, I will most likely be updating Hazel Tree more than this story for the time being. Again, sorry it's so short. Have a good day! -Lucy
