When they got home from the mall and finished getting their nails done Evie helped Jennifer get ready for her date. She instructed Jennifer on how to do her makeup and what jewellery to wear. "I don't want to wear a lot of makeup though," Jennifer said. Colin saw her bare face everyday. There was no reason to pretend that she had flawless skin.
"How about just a little bit of blush, mascara and lipgloss," Evie suggested.
"Fine," Jennifer gave in. She applied some of the pink powder to a fluffy brush and stroked it against her cheeks.
"See you look more lively and elegant already," Evie smiled in approval. Next Jennifer curled her eyelashes and applied mascara. Finally she squished some shimmering lip gloss onto her lips. "Now what should we do with your hair," Evie held her blonde locks in her hands and started to fiddle. "Ok let's just go simple," Evie plugged in the curling iron and started to wrap strands of hair around the wand. "There you look perfect," Evie pulled Jennifer's hair to the side.
"Thank you," Jennifer squeezed her hand.
"No problem! You better send me pictures of the ring as soon as it's on your finger," Evie said excitedly.
"I promise," Jennifer smiled. "You will be he first person I tell." In just a couple of hours she was going to be Mrs. O'Donoghue. Jennifer felt her stomachs leap at the though. She had been waiting for this for years.

When Jennifer arrived at the restaurant Colin was already there sitting at their table waiting for her. Colin sported her walk in and immediately stood up to greet her.
"I missed you," Colin pecked her on the cheek.
"We were just apart for a couple of hours," Jennifer smirked. Colin pulled out the chair motioning for her to sit down, and then pushed her in. They ordered their dishes and then waited patiently for their food to arrive.
"How was your day with Evie?" Colin asked when he sat down on the opposite side of the table.
"It was great! We went shopping, and I bought this dress," she pointed to what she was wearing. "And then we got our nails done," Jennifer continued.
"You look beautiful," Colin said admiring her. "Maybe it's the way you did your hair, but something about this look takes me back to Once Upon A Time days. You look the same after all these years. You will always be my Emma Swan," Colin raised an eyebrow tenderly.
"And you will always be my Killian Jones," Jennifer said.
"Speaking of Once Upon A Time, I have a surprise for you," Colin said. Jennifer could feel her heart start to beat faster. This was it, Colin was going to propose. Colin reached into he coat pocket looking for something. It felt like he was moving in slow motion. Jennifer wanted him to hurry up. She couldn't wait any longer. Finally Colin took his hand out of his pocket. In his hand wasn't a ring box it was a piece of paper. Jennifer's stomach fell. He wasn't proposing. Colin set the peice of paper in front of Jennifer.
"Happy anniversary," Colin said. Jennifer looked down at the folded paper it was a flight ticket to Vancouver.
"I thought we could take vacation," Colin said.
"To Vancouver?" Jennifer questioned. She had spent eight years there filming it wasn't her choice for a vacation destination.
"Yeah I think it will be fun. It will be like taking a trip down memory lane," Colin said. Jennifer didn't know what to say. She could tell that Colin was excited, and she didn't want to say something that would crush his mood.
"When do we leave?" Jennifer asked.
       "Tomorrow," Colin said.
        "Wow that's... soon," Jennifer stuttered.
"I bought tickets for Evan, Evie and Daniel too," Colin said. So this was now a family trip.
      "Do they know?" Jennifer asked.
"Nope, I am gonna surprise them when we get back," Colin said. He was practically leaping out of his seat.
"Evie and Daniel have work... I am not sure if they can take time off," Jennifer said.
"I'm sure they can," Colin said.
"Umm ok," Jennifer said. Jennifer hadn't gone back to Vancouver since Once Upon A Time ended. She had no reason to, but also she didn't really want to go back. There were so many memories there. Some bad and some good. It was where her and Colin fell in love, however, it was also the place where they broke up. All of the good memories that she could think of where all overshadowed by the bad. She didn't regret her and Colin's previous relationship, but what they had now was so much better. There was no pressure from fans and they knew that the feelings and love they had for each other were true, as they weren't spending their days pretending to be characters. They were just themselves. Jennifer adored the time she spent on Once Upon A Time, as it was where she had met Colin. However, she was glad that she had taken a step back from acting. She got to spend time with Colin and Evan and it gave her a chance to have a real and mature relationship with Colin.

Throughout the dinner Colin told Jennifer all of the things he planned for their trip to Vancouver as they ate. "We can go to the PNE, Evan would love that! Oh and we can go bike riding at Stanley park," Colin said. Jennifer took a sip of her wine and nodded her head. "We can even visit storybrooke! And I almost forgot we have to go to your favourite restaurant Italian Kitchen," Colin listed. Jennifer bit her lip. The last time they went to Italian Kitchen was when Colin proposed to her. She had turned him down. It was the start of the downward spiral of their relationship.
"Sounds great," Jennifer smiled falsely.  She still wasn't sure why Colin wanted to go back to Vancouver so badly.

After dinner Colin drove them back to their apartment building. Evan was with Evie and Daniel, so they went next door to pick him up and to tell them about the trip.
"I thought Evan was sleeping over," Evie said confused.
"We have a surprise for you all," Colin said. Evie nudged Jennifer in the arm. Jennifer gave her a hard stare and shook her head. She knew what Evie was thinking and she wanted to warn her that there was nothing to celebrate. "I have booked us all a trip to Vancouver," Colin said.
"Oh wow," Evie looked at Jennifer.
"We leave tomorrow. Evie and Daniel I really hope that you guys can take time off work," Colin said.
"I'm not sure if I can," Evie said.
"Please," Colin said. "You always work so hard. You should take a break," Colin added.
"Ok I will try. This is kinda last minute though," Evie said.
"We should go pack," Colin said to Jennifer.
"How about you and Evan go back to our place. I wanna talk to Evie for a sec," Jennifer said.
"Ok see you in a few," Colin kissed her on the forehead.

When Colin and Evan got back to their apartment Colin instructed Evan to start packing. He watched as Evan went into his bedroom and when he was out of ears reach Colin decided to make a phone call. He needed to make it quick as he didn't want Jennifer to walk in on the call.
"Are you guys all in Vancouver?" Colin asked.
"Yes we are everything is all set," Colin smiled. Everything was going to be perfect.
