"When are you gonna propose?" Evie asked. "And why in Vancouver?" Evie asked another question. Her mind was going crazy. She couldn't believe that Colin was going to propose. Evie was so excited for the two of them. They had so many troubles in their relationship, but they were finally going to be together forever. Evie couldn't be happier.
"Tonight, so I am going to need you to distract Jen while I get things prepared," Colin said. "Vancouver was where we met and where we fell in love," Colin explained.
"I see. Daniel and I can take Jennifer and Evan on an outing," Evie sugested.
"Thank you," Colin gave her a big bear hug.

Soon after Jennifer and Evan returned with their goodies it was time to board the plane. Colin didn't buy first class seats, as it was a short flight so it wouldn't have been worth it. Jennifer sat at the window and Colin at the aisle with Evan in between them. Evie and Daniel were a few rows behind them.
"I'm bored," Evan announced. Luckily they were flying westjet, as they had free entertainment. Jennifer dug in her oversized purse for his iPad. She had already downloaded the westjet app that allowed Evan to watch whatever tv show or movie he wanted. He was destined to be content for two hours. Jennifer looked out the window as the plane sped along the runway. The wheels retracted into the plane and then they were flying above the clouds. Jennifer flipped through one of her magazines. She had bought one trashy gossip one and a fashion magazine. She decided to start with the gossip one first. The magazine was filled with paparazzi pictures of celebrities. There were some pictures of her friends. She laughed in her mind while she read the "insider information". All of the stories were lies. She remembered that days when she used to be the victim in the stories. She was glad to not have her life dissected anymore. Jennifer looked over at Colin. He was on his laptop reading a script. He constantly had new offers for projects. Colin always encouraged Jennifer to get back on the horse and try acting again. Evan was older now, so he was fine staying at home with a nanny, but Jennifer didn't have the passion for it anymore. She was ready to retire.

It only felt like they were on the plane for a couple of minutes, as it was already landing time. Jennifer looked out the window and watched as the ground started to get closer and closer. The plane then landed with a thud.
"We are here," Jennifer patted Evan's shoulder. She packed up his iPad and her magazines and waited to disembark. When they were inside the airport's familiarity whooshed over Jennifer. Everything was exactly the same. They went through customs and grabbed their luggage then they were ready to leave. They walked through the waiting area before they exited. Jennifer remembered that fans used to wait there for her to arrive. They would flourish her with gifts and in return she would sign some autographs and take selfies. Today there was no one waiting for her. However, Jennifer recognized a few of the graphers that were waiting for other celebrities. Jennifer never minded signing pictures. The graphers were always nice to her. A couple of them spotted her and waved. They weren't expecting to see her or Colin in Vancouver. So they didn't have any pictures for them to sign.

Colin had booked them a suite at a fancy hotel downtown. Jennifer watched as the taxi drove them along the Vancouver streets. Even though she hadn't been there in a little over two years she still knew the city so well. It was like she was coming home. Throughout the ride Jennifer noticed a few differences. There were a few new buildings and some buildings were gone. A lot of stores had gone out of business too. Jennifer was hesitant to return to Vancouver however, once she arrived she was itching to explore the city. She remembered all of her favourite stores and her favourite restaurants. Maybe she would find some new places too.

"So I am going to meet a friend in a bit, so you guys can hang out with Evie and Daniel," Colin said.
"Umm ok..." Jennifer said. She thought that he had planned this trip so that they could all spend time together. She was disappointed that Colin would be leaving them so soon.
"I will see you tonight. You and I can go to Main Street Brewery," Colin said. It was a bar that was close to where they used to live. Colin and Sean had even brewed their own beer there. It was more Colin's type of scene than Jennifer's.
"Colin I am kinda tired. Maybe we can go drinking tomorrow," Jennifer said. She wasn't really in the partying mood. Jennifer would have much rather gone for a nice dinner instead.
"We can just go for a bit. Evie and Daniel can take care of Evan," Colin suggested.
"Ok I guess," Jennifer said hesitantly.

After Colin had said goodbye to the gang Evie, Daniel, Jennifer and Evan hooped into another cab. They were heading to Richmond to ride go carts. It was Evie's idea. She knew that Evan would enjoy it. They zipped through the track racing each other. Jennifer crashed her car multiple times into the rails. The entire time Evan had a smile on his face. After a couple of races they decided to have lunch. Jennifer was in the mood of sushi as the fish in Vancouver was so much better than in LA. She googled the nearest restaurant and then they rode in a taxi for the third time that day.

Once Jennifer, Evan, Evie and Daniel had left Colin walked to a nearby Starbucks. When he arrived Mr and Mrs Morrison were already sitting at a table. Colin walked up to them quickly, "I am so sorry I am late. I needed to wait until Jennifer had left with Evie and Daniel before I came," he said.
"Oh no worries Colin," Jennifer's dad David smiled.
"Thank you so much for this lovely trip," Judy touched Colin's hands and gave them a squeeze.
"Oh yes, no problem. I actually have something to ask you two," Colin said. "Mr and Mrs Morrison do I have your permission to ask Jennifer to marry me?" Colin asked.
"Oh my gosh I knew it! I told you he was gonna propose!" Judy slapped David on the arm. Colin couldn't help but let out a giggle. Jennifer's parents had the best marriage. He hoped that him and Jennifer would too.
"Of course you have our permission Colin," David said.
"Thank you so much!" Colin exclaimed.
"And Colin you can call us mom and dad," Judy said. She was practically jumping up and down with excitement.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. How do you think the proposal will go? Thanks for reading! Please vote and comment your thoughts 😊
