After the meeting with Jennifer's parents Colin went back to the hotel room. He had a shower and then changed into a suit. Jennifer had questioned why he was bringing a suit when they were packing, so he said that he wanted to take her out to a nice dinner one night. Colin also told her to pack a nice white dress . Jennifer didn't think anything about it, so she just grabbed the first white dress she saw in her closet. It was a floor length flowy dress. The top part and the sleeves were lace. She had worn the dress at an award event a long time ago. Though Colin hadn't seen her wear the dress before. She had a whole closet of formal dresses that she had only worn once. She tried her best to make use of them, but she didn't have any events to attend and if she did she would always feel the need to wear something new. The dress was fine to be folded so she packed it into her suitcase. Once Colin was changed and had groomed his hair perfectly he tried his best to remember what suitcase Jennifer had packed her dress in. He started to dig through one, but midway through he realized that it was obviously not in there. Therefore, he unlocked the other suitcase. Sitting right on top was Jennifer's dress. He used the hotel iron to make sure there were no wrinkles in the dress. Then he placed it on the hanger that he had used for his suit. With her dress in hand and the ring in his pocket he ordered a taxi to take him to the bar.
After lunch Evie and Jennifer went shopping at Richmond centre. Daniel took Evan to all of his favourite stores, the apple store, Microsoft store, and Eb games. Evan would be busy for hours. Daniel watched Evan as he played with a VR system. While he waited for Evan he answered work emails. After Daniel had finished university he had gotten a job at a local physio clinic. Within no time he was booked solid with clients. He loved his job, it made him so happy when his clients recovered. The only downside was that sometimes his clients were a bit demanding. They always emailed him concerning issues with their exercises and with their recovery. Also a lot of patients thought the process would be quick, however there was no such thing as just bouncing back from a injury. One of his colleagues who also happened to be his best friend was covering for him while he was in Vancouver, however, his patients seemed to think his replacement wasn't as qualified. Thus, he had to send multiple emails insuring that Rhys was more than capable to help them with all of their needs.
"I told you this trip would be fine," Evie could tell that Jennifer was enjoying herself. After tonight she was going to be even more ecstatic.
"I guess... I just wish Colin was with us," Jennifer said.
"You will see him tonight. You guys are going on a date," Evie winked.
"It's not a date. We are going to a bar," Jennifer clarified. "I don't want to go. I just want to watch a crappy reality show and cuddle with him in bed," Jennifer said.
"Jen you have to go. It will be fun," Evie needed to make sure that Jennifer went or else Colin's while plan would be ruined.
"Whatever," Jennifer shrugged.
"Right after shopping we will take a cab to the brewery and drop you off," Evie made a plan. Originally Evie and Daniel were gonna leave early to help Colin, but she was afraid that if they left Jennifer she wouldn't go.
"Ugh why can't we go out another day?" Jennifer said annoyed. Evie gave her a hard stare.
"Fine, I will go," Jennifer said. After a couple of hours they had devoured the entire mall. Jennifer bought a couple of pieces at Aritzia, as it was her favourite Canadian store and the selection in Vancouver was especially great as the company was based there. Next they went to The Bay. The store at Richmond center was tiny compared to the downtown store. Evie found a sweater, but Jennifer didn't find anything. After a couple more shops it was time to leave. Jennifer and Evie met Daniel and Evan at the entrance. Luckily the taxi that they had ordered was on time. It was already there waiting for them when they walked out the doors. The ride to the brewery was just over half an hour. As they got closer to the brewery Jennifer recognized her old neighbourhood. Starbucks, Burgoo, Save on Foods, she listed the stores as the taxi drove past them. It was easy for her to recall all of the places that she used to visit. Similar to remembering all of the lyrics to her old favourite songs. Even though she had tried to push the city out of her mind when she moved to LA coming back had showed her that she shouldn't hold back. She should let herself remember. There were many happy memories that she had in Vancouver. Yes there was sadness, but there was also a lot of love. She had missed Vancouver. Maybe they should visit more often. Then she got the best idea. Her and Colin should organize a cast reunion and have it in Vancouver. Jennifer still talked to Ginny and Josh she was sure that with their help it could all be arranged. Jennifer would defiantly talk to Colin about this tonight.
Her thoughts about the reunion slipped her mind as they finally pulled up to the brewery. The building still looked the same. She wondered if the inside would too.
"We are here!" Evie announced.
"I guess I will see you guys later," Jennifer said.
"Yup," Evie pressed her lips together trying her best to contain her excitement. Jennifer walked up to the door and the security man gracefully opened the door for her.
"Good evening ms. Morrison," he smiled kindly.
"Thank you," Jennifer rushed through the door. All of the lights in the bar were off except for a string of fairy lights. Jennifer turned around to look for the security guard, but suddenly the room was illuminated. Jennifer looked around the room in astonishment. All of her old cast mates were standing right in front of her. She blinked a couple of times to make sure she was seeing things properly.
"Surprise!" Everyone yelled.Hope you liked the chapter. Please vote and comment what you thought!
