A/N So, this is the first story I've ever written. Go easy on me. It is in editing right now (this is an edited author's note) and I've gotten the first six chapters just the way that I like them. I can gurantee that it's much better than it used to be, so if you've already read it, please read it again! It's new and shiny, like a nice watch. If you haven't read it, I hope you like it :)

Prologue:

11:00 P.M.

Parties. Abby wasn't a huge fan of them. Every now and then, a good one would come along and she'd have the time of her life. But most of them she just got a little buzzed.

Such was this party, until Zach.

Her friend Danielle, the host who had invited Abby, walked up to her with none other than Zachary Porter of Allstar Weekend following behind her. He was wearing a striped tank top and sunglasses, with corduroy shorts and American flag sneakers.

                Abby stared. He was hot.

"Abby," Danielle started, "this is Zach. I met him about a year ago, and he stopped touring so much that he could finally make it to one of my infamous parties." She smiled and winked, meaning, this is your opening, jump him!

No problem, thought Abby, as the light from the bonfire behind her lit up his face.

The June wind swirled her blonde hair across her bare shoulders, and Zach sucked in a breath. Damn, he thought, she is beautiful.

"Hey." Abby glanced at him, looked at the ground in an effort to seem shy, and looked back up. His hand was extended towards her. Instead of shaking it like she thought, he wrapped his fingers around hers and pulled her off towards the house.

"Care to give me a tour?" he asked.

She curled her hand around his. "I'd be honored."

They made it inside where the party was in full swing. Avoiding the dance scene in the living room, Abby led Zach to a parlor, where it was quieter. More intimate. They sat down in a chair designed for two that forced a no-personal-space rule. Zach was very aware of the fact that she hadn’t let go of his hand yet.

"So," Abby began, "tell me about yourself."

They talked all night, and well into the morning. Neither of them had ever felt so open with another stranger, nor did either one of them want to stop talking. The sun was cresting over the horizon when Zach’s phone chirped, announcing a text.

“That’s my bandmate, Nathan. I was supposed to give everyone a ride back to my house,” Zach told her, looking into her beautiful bright blue eyes.

“I guess we lost track of time,” Abby replied.

Zach hesitated for a moment, but decided to take a risk. “Would you maybe want to go out with me again? Like tonight? On a real date I mean.” He stopped talking, sure that a girl as stunning as the one before him would never agree to go out with him.

“I can’t think of anything I’d rather do more,” she told him. A wide smile spread its way across her face.

Zach could only return her grin. “Here’s my number, you can text me or call me whenever you want. I’ll pick you up around seven?”
