Zach heard Cameron’s shout and looked up to see him covering his face. Swearing under his breath in surprise, he rolled over to face Cameron and Abby crawled behind him, putting both legs on either side of him. He sat back against her to cover her up; she was only wearing a bra and pants. She rested her chin on his shoulder, whispering “sorry,” in his ear, and wrapped her arms around his bare chest. He gave her a half-smile and patted her hands.
“You can look now, we’re decent enough,” he said.
Cameron cautiously moved his hands away from his face and looked at them. Seeing everything covered, the cocky attitude that only came out when Abby was near reared its ugly head. “I thought decency had more to do with the kind of person you are and less about the amount of clothes you have on,” he smirked.
Zach rolled his eyes, but Abby retorted right back, “Then maybe you should be the one covering up, huh Cam? Decency doesn’t seem to apply to you wherever I’m concerned.”
Cameron smirked, unimpressed with her reply. “What can I say; the worst people bring out the worst in me.”
“God, I’m so sick of your bullshit,” she told him, exasperated. Cameron laughed; glad to finally be getting a rise out of her after months of endless effort. “You hate me because I’m with Zach, but it’s his decision to date whoever he likes. Stop being such a child and suck it up.”
“Why would I need to suck anything? You do enough of that for both of us,” Cameron said, making an obscene hand gesture near his mouth.
Abby stood up – against Zach’s efforts to hold her down – and got in Cameron’s face. Oddly, she was smiling. “One day, you’re going to realize how wrong you are and feel like the piece of dog shit that you’re acting like right now.”
“That’ll be the same day I admit I’m in love with you and ask you to marry me,” he said sarcastically.
“Asshole,” she said, flipping him off.
Cameron laughed and said to Zach, “Did you just see what she did? She wants me to fuck her!” Looking at Abby again he added, “Sorry, but I’m not a whore like you, I’ll keep my innocence for someone worth it.”
“I smell a new movie coming along called the 90 Year Old Virgin.”
Zach stood up and got between them, shielding Abby behind him. “That’s enough, get out of here Cam,” he growled.
“No, I’ll go,” Abby told him. He turned to look at her disbelievingly. She smirked at him. “Cameron obviously didn’t come in to watch us have sex, so I’ll be the nice one and give you two a minute.” Cameron sneered, but didn’t say anything to her “nice one” remark.
“Play nice,” she said as she put a shirt on before walking out.
“Abby?” Zach said, but she was already gone. “What the hell is wrong with you?” he turned on Cameron. “You can’t just keep your mouth shut for one day? I mean does it matter at all to you that Abby is my girlfriend and that I love her?”
Cameron smiled as if he were excited to hear the news that Zach had finally used the L-word. “Of course it matters; I just don’t think she’s good enough for you. Don’t yell at me, you know what I think of her. Although I respect her a little more now; it’s about time she stood up for herself.” Cameron crossed his arms over his chest.
