Zia's POV

And through the years, ang papa ko na nagpatuloy magpalago nito.

Kilalang kilala ang company naming MERC or Miller Empire Resorts Corporation di lang dito sa States, kundi pati na rin sa Asia.

I have everything that I ever wished for.

Money, loving parents, friends and a career that I dreamed of. I'm a fashion designer with my own boutique called Zia's Closet here in New York. And I can say that I'm living my life to the fullest.

But not until my parents told me their crazy plan..

~~~•~~~
Nasa boutique ako at kasalukuyang gumagawa ng design para sa bago kong ilalabas na creation sa Manhattan Fashion Show, nang tawagan ako ni dad.
"Hi dad? What's up?" bati ko agad sa kanya pagkasagot ng phone.
"Zia? Free up your sched tonight dear. We're having dinner at Ai Fiori with your mom." sabi nito sa kabilang linya.
"Sure dad. I have something to discuss with you rin regarding sa itatayo ko na branch sa Seoul." tugon ko.
"Ok dear. The driver will pick you up by 7 pm." inform niya at nagpaalam rin agad.
As I go back on what I was doing, I can't help but think of how supportive my parents are with the things I want to do in life.
I see to it naman na successful ako sa pinili kong career para maging proud sila at di pagsisihan ang freedom na binigay nila. Kaya naman hindi ako pinepressure ni dad na humawak ng kumpanya namin dahil nakikita nilang gumagawa rin ako ng sarili kong pangalan sa business industry.
(.........a few hours later)
I closed my boutique earlier than usual and headed outside pagkarating ng driver ni dad.
Mga 30 minutes ang layo ng Ai Fiori resto from my boutique. At habang nasa byahe, I took out my planner and reviewed my proposal kay dad later.
Pagkarating sa Ai Fiori, hinanap ko agad sila dad at mom. The waiter was so kind and guided me to their table. And as soon as I saw my parents, I greeted them cheerfully.
"Hi mom. Hi dad." masayang bati ko sa mga ito.
"Hi dear. How's your day? Sabi ni ajumma hindi ka daw kumain ng breakfast kanina? Nagluto pa naman ako ng favorite mong eggs benedict." nag-aalala na may halong pagtatampo na wika ni mom sakin.
I sat down beside my mom and apologetically smiled.
"Sorry about that, mom. I'm a bit busy today. Naghahabol kasi ako isubmit mga designs ko for the Manhattan Fashion Show."
"Hay nako, kahit pa gaano ka ka-busy, huwag kang mag-skip ng breakfast ha."
"Yes po, hindi na mauulit." ngiti ko.
As me and my mom are talking, si dad naman parang aligaga na patayo-tayo at animo'y may hinihintay dumating.
That's when I realized, good for 6 yung table na inookupa namin.
"Dad, may iba pa bang dadating?" tanong ko dito.
Sasagot na sana si dad ngunit may biglang lumapit sa table namin at napangiti ito sa kanila.
