The End

Twas a quiet and still room that I found myself in.

However, a sound like a tapping upon wood entered my ears.

And though the room appeared empty and the noise grew like an aching cancer in my mind.

The room now filled with its own terror made me back away in despair.

For whom would dare stand in this chamber listening to a madman rapping upon a wooden cill.

It seemed to me, clear as the sunrise that this dark atmosphere would swallow me.

The room to me in this moment looked much like an opening to my ubrupt end.

What had I done to be remembered if indeed that stabbing noise were to kill me where I endured.

I drank myself until like a snollygoster and neglected my schoolings of tradition.

So if indeed that striking were to drive me to the stygian gates of my demise then who indeed would retain such a fool as I?
