The Break Up | Taehyung

"Y/N, calm down. Why are you crying?" My brother Taehyung asked over the phone. Despite being three years older than Taehyung, I would always go to him whenever shit hits the fan. I sometimes slip up and say that he's my older brother because he's accomplished so many things in his life. He became an idol, won awards, created music, saved lives, even. And I'm just an artist.

"He— he fucking cheated... after four years.." I started sobbing.

"I'm sorry, Y/N," my brother said. His voice was soothing, meanwhile I was sobbing an ocean, but livid at the same time. "and you're at home, right?"

I sniffled. "Mhm..."

"Good, because I'm at the door with chocolate, Jungkook, and a movie."

I suddenly started sobbing, but out of happiness. Jungkook is my best friend, but he's also like my baby brother. I love him just as much as Taehyung, but my love for Jungkook is different. I love Taehyung like a lifelong best friend, but Jungkook... I don't know. But when I started dating (random name), my feelings for Jungkook was tucked in the deepest depths of my soul.

But now that the bastard cheated, it's all coming at me like a deadly riptide. Fuck that bitch.

I quickly wipe my tears and run to the door.

Jungkook hands me the box of chocolates. The box was shaped like a heart, as Valentine's Day is weeks away. And before that, my birthday...

He cheated weeks before our fifth anniversary and weeks before my birthday...

"Come in. And thanks, guys..."

TAEHYUNG'S POV.

We're about 30 minutes into the movie, and my sister already fell asleep on Jungkook. I've always known that Y/N had a crush on him until (random name) came along. Jungkook doesn't know about it. But I have a feeling he likes her too.

I glanced over at him, stroking my sister's hair. She was covered with a blanket and her head was rested in Jungkook's lap. They look adorable. Like two bunnies. Two beautiful, hurt bunnies. I think they'd go great together...

I turn my attention back to the movie...

Y/N'S POV.

I wake up to someone running their fingers through my hair, and another hand rubbing my back. I glance up at Jungkook's face. He smiles at me and I smile back.

"How was your sleep, Noona?" he asks.

I sit up and lay on his shoulder. He's so warm. And cute. And so handsome.

"I slept well," I glanced over at Taehyung's spot on the couch. He wasn't there. "where's Tae?"

"He's getting things for dinner. And he's apparently getting an early birthday gift for you."

"Oh," I said. I snuggle into Jungkook a little more. Soft baby. If only he knew how much I loved him.

I laughed, but without humor.

"What's so funny?" he asked.

"I don't know. The fact that someone was stupid enough to cheat before an anniversary, thinking I'd let it slide or how much it fucking hurts..."

"Oh Noona," he hugs me tight. "there are so many people who are better for you."

I sigh. "Thanks Kookie."

"I didn't wanna say anything about the relationship, but I felt that he was gonna fuck up sooner or later."

Ouch. Seems he was right.

"You were right. Fuck him. He did it twice. I can't believe I didn't find out about the first time."

"I'm so sorry, Jagiya," I suddenly pulled away from Jungkook. His face was rosy.

"Um, I mean-"

I leaned in and kissed him. This could go one of two ways...

"It's okay, Jungkook," I gave him the final peck on his forehead. He got even redder. I leaned in and started kissing his neck. Not in an intimate way, just placing a few pecks here and there.

"You know... I've always had a thing for you.." He said.

I pecked his cheek. "Well, from that pet name you accidentally called me, it kinda gave things away."

He giggled. "Yeah."

"I love you Kookie," I said. "but I still love (random name)... what he did was a dick move, but he was so.. so.."

"Sweet, generous, but stupid?" he finished.

I snorted. "Got that right."
