Nightmare | Hoseok

He awoke in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. That dream felt so real, it was scary. He went to his girlfriend/boyfriend, who was working in the office.

Hoseok opens the office door, a few tears running down his cheeks. Y/N turned his/her attention to the door, concern showing on his/her face.

Hoseok ran to him/her, engulfing him/her in a hug.

He/she starts running his/her fingers through his hair, trying to calm him down.

"Shh~ what's wrong?" he/she whispers.

"I-I had another nightmare..." he stutters, pulling away. "God, that sounds really embarrassing..."

"Oh baby," he/she says. "It's not. It's really not. But let's not talk about it any longer. Let's go to bed, yeah?"

"But... what if I have that dream again?" he asks.

"I'll make sure you're safe, okay?"

They're both in bed, Y/N cuddling Hoseok. Hoseok has his head on his/her chest, finally calming down.

"I just keep having these really, really unbearable nightmares and I don't know what to do about it," he says. "I think it's from stress, but I don't know..."

He/she runs his/her fingers through his hair and nods. "I think so too," Y/N said.

Y/N giggles. "I know this sounds really cheesy, but before my friend moved away," he/she started. (This is actually a true story.) "she gave me a dreamcatcher. It was green. It's my sister's now, but even though I never see my dreams, I kept it in my room. They say the nightmares get trapped in the webbing of the strings."

Hoseok smiles. That made him feel calm and at peace. "Wow," he said. "Maybe I could get one."

"Yeah, maybe," Y/N said. Y/N noticed that Hoseok's eyelids were fluttering a bit.

"Close your eyes. It's late, baby."
"Promise to keep me safe?"
"Promise."

Y/N turns off the lamp.

"Can we have the lamp on?" Hoseok asks shyly.
"Whatever you want, Hoseok."

Y/N turns the lamp back on. 

"Goodnight, Y/N."
"Goodnight, Hobi. Sweet dreams."
