I planned out everything on my canvas. All that was missing: color. I was about to paint a portrait of sunflowers, but I realized I was running low on yellow and white paint.
I quickly slip on my slides, grab my keys and leave my apartment to go to the art shop near my house. I choose to go there because a.) it's close, b.) there's a super friendly and adorable guy that owns and works at the shop.
I enter the art shop, greeted by the pretty boy at the register.
"Hello!" He waves, his boxy smile showing. I smile back and wave. "Good afternoon!"
I move toward the wall with all the acrylic paints. The white paint is near the middle, so it was easy to grab. But, the yellow just so happens to be out of reach. I try getting on my tippy-toes to grab the paints to no avail.
I then see another hand reach for the yellow paint. I turn around and see the pretty boy smiling at me. He hands me the paint. "You needed this?"
I blush. "Thank you," I said. "Um, but do you mind also grabbing the darker yellow that was next to the lighter one?"
"Or course," And he grabs the paint. "There." And he passes the paint to me.
"Thank you!"
"No problem," he said. "And is that all you need for today?"
"Yeah." "Then let's go to the counter and I'll ring you up."
I place all the paints on the counter and he rings me up.
"Your total is $20.64," he said, placing the items in the bag. I was about to take out my card when he asks, "and would you like a discount for being my cutest costumer?"
I giggled. "You're funny." "No, I'm being serious."
My jaw dropped. "What?"
He smiled. "I can give you 10% off, if you'd like."
I blushed and thought about it. "Really...?"
"Yeah," He said. "I can do that since I own the shop. And truthfully, you're really cute."
My heart almost fell out of my chest, like deadass. "U-um... okay, yeah."
He smiled. "And that will bring your total down to $17.96."
I swiped my card into the machine and he handed me the receipt.
"Thank you," I said. "Have a nice rest of the day, love."

And that's part one! I got this idea while painting sunflowers so I decided I'd write this while the paint was drying 🤠
