Joining Sabertooth

I'm Luna Nightingale and this is the story of how I started dating Sabertooth's guild master Sting Eucliffe. It didn't start out like a lot of love stories that most people dream of. For example, it wasn't love at first sight or some cheesy happily ever after story. It all started when I came to Crocus, a bright and lively city with its unique charm. The new guild by the name of Sabertooth has been making a name for itself and I wanted to join it. Since Fairy Tail isn't what it was cracked up to be a year ago I wanted to join Sabertooth. Of course it's hard to blame Fairy Tail for their failure, especially when most of the guild members had gone missing.

I use Moon magic, a rare magic that hasn't been seen in 1000 years. I'm the first to have it in that time frame. I use water magic to cover up my true magic so I don't get used. To think of someone taking my magic and twisting it to benefit their personal gain gives me shivers. My magic would no doubt put me in danger if it was revealed, meaning keeping it covered up was a must. I have an exceed named Tenroku, who I'd trust anything with. I may not be a dragon slayer but ever since the exceeds came to fiore a lot of people have one as friends.

As I'm walking through the streets of crocus I look for apartments and the guild hall. I see the large sabertooth tiger on top of a large building. Taking a deep breath beforehand, I approach the guild hall. I get stared at as I slowly enter the guild. It was of course embarrassing, more so since I had heard about the power this guild had. Every gaze had a judgement sense to it, as if they were wolves sizing up a deer before they planned a strategic pounce. I see a very large man sitting on what looks like a throne. I approach the throne as he looked down at me, his gaze hard and obviously much more judging then the rest.

"What do you want pipsqueak?" He asks as I bow politely.

"I'd like to join the guild sir," I say to him as he just huffs.

"Prove your worth to me tiny," He says as he motions one of the guild members.

I set my bag down as Tenroku flies beside me. Having Tenroku by my side makes things easier and takes a bit of pressure off my nerves. I take a deep breath as the guild member told to fight me fired a magic attack at me. I jumped and threw my weight to one side to do a flip in the air, the attack just missing. I then put my hands in front of me as I shout my spell. "Water slicer nebula!" A large water blade goes and crashed down on him as he dodges it I use my arms as I hold him in a water lock. He struggles to breath and finally passes out in my water lock as I then release him and look back at the guild master. "Proof enough?" I ask as I pick up my bag.

"Very well you may join our guild but one wrong move or one loss and you'll be cut from the guild in a second," He says very sternly.

I nod my head as I get my guild mark on the left side of my stomach in purple. I look at all the guild members looking at the one I knocked down as his guild mark is removed.

"You are of no use to me anymore she will take your place," He says as he throws the other person out of the guild hall.

I look saddened at what I did but I wanted to be in this guild more than anything. If I had to knock someone down to get this spot then it was a necessary sacrifice. I see two people enter the guild hall suddenly. One had black hair and a scarf that covered most of his face. His hair covered one of his eyes while the other was a dark red. He wore particularly concealing garments and had a sort of brooding nature about him. The other one was a blonde who wore a top that stopped right above his abs, completely different from his acquaintance. He wore an earring that looked like a small crystal on the right ear. The blonde also had blue eyes, overall seeming less intimidating then his friend. They were followed by two exceeds, making me think they were dragon slayers. If any guild was to have dragon slayers it would be this one. The guild master motioned them to him as he introduces me as the "New trainee". They look at me and then notice my exceed.

"She a dragon slayer?" The blonde asked and I shake my head 'no.'

"I'm a water wizard, my name js Luna Nightingale. Pleasure to meet you. This is my exceed Tenroku," I say as Tenroku bows in the air. I see their two exceeds bow as well. I assumed these two were the twin dragon slayers of sabertooth. Sting and Rouge.

"So tiny allow us to show you around. Not that you'll be here long though," Sting says to me as he messes up my hair.

I scowled immediately and fixed my hair, I planned to be here as long as I wanted. I'm not gonna let some punk ass kid insult my abilities so easily. If only he knew just how powerful I was, but I could never show anyone my true powers. I'd be used by too many people and I'd get hurt, or even worse others could get hurt. I followed Sting and Rouge as they show me around, obviously not interested in being my tour guide. Sting keeps pointing things out as he keeps calling me tiny and brushing me off when I'd ask a question or make a comment. Sting's tone was drall and unexcited, proving just how much he didn't want to be doing this while Rouge mainly stays quiet. The three exceeds don't really talk much either during the tour and basically stay behind us all. Tenroku stayed very close to me, which no doubt made both of us feel more secure.

I won't deny that Sting is very attractive, I'd be a fool and a liar if I said he was anything less than that. However his attitude is a big turn off as well as I'd never date anyone who values their pride and self image more than his friends. He could fit the bill of people I was worried about, the type to exploit my power for their own gain. He's very rude and very self-centered, totally not my type.

I go around and I meet all the guild members. I'm the most intimidated by Minerva. The way she smirked gave me a shiver, her gaze cutting into me like daggers. Her aura gave me a sense of... well... That if I'm not careful she'll make my life a living hell. Not to mention she was favoured by the guild master, meaning she would sell me out in a heartbeat.

After I left the guild hall for the day I went looking for apartments. I found one that was close to the guild hall and only cost 5,000 jewel a month. If I do a lot of jobs for the guild then I'll be set. I hand over 5,000 jewel for my first months payment and go and settle in, luckily being able to catch the landlord right there. I place Tenroku's bed next to mine and I then collapse on my own bed, exhausted from moving in my things. I yawn as sleep finds me easily, my eyelids growing heavy until they closed completely. As soon as they were closed, I was asleep, lost to the realm of dreams. Tomorrow is gonna be interesting since I hear it's gonna be a battle royale tomorrow to kick out the weakest members. I'll be going up against a few of the newer members to see which one of us will get kicked out first. I had no doubt in my abilities but was interested to see what everyone else had in store. This would be a good chance to see everyone else magic type and find out which people not to mess with. I sleep peacefully as I wait for morning to arise, knowing i'd need my strength for tomorrow and whatever was to come.
