As I wake up after the final day I see the ceiling of the infirmary. The last thing I remember is walking to the infirmary with Cana Alberona from the Fairy Tail team after our fight. I also remember that I explained to her that I was worried sick about Tenroku and went into detail about my situation. Not knowing where he is or if anything happened to him has been in the back of my mind for a while. I turn my head to the side with all my strength, squinting slightly when I noticed the blonde haired dragon slayer asleep next to the bed. His front half laid across the bed, the weight of his head making it a little difficult to move. Sting's exceed Lector was there as well, making me hopeful that Tenroku was around too. I then sit up and look around, my eyes scanning the room for Tenroku. I scowl when he isn't seen, my worry coming back. I place my hand on the top of Stings head, dragging my fingers through his hair. He stirs a bit and I smile, trying my best to keep my mind off Tenroku. I notice how it's dark outside then start to wonder how long I've actually been here for. He lifts his head up and sees me awake, making him smile for a moment until he remembered what he needed to tell me. I see the tears forming in his eyes and I could tell something happened.
"What's wrong?" I ask him.
"Sabertooth didn't win the games. Fairy Tail did, and I got Lector back but... I didn't find Tenroku. He didn't appear when Lector did," He says.
I can feel the tears running down my face, unsure what else I'd need to do now to get Tenroku back. We didn't win the games yet Sting got Lector back, yet not Tenroku. I was beyond upset over this, I had just wanted to see him and know that he was okay. The extra worry filled my head, my mind spinning with all the different possibilities on what happened to him. Suddenly a loud crash could be heard outside, catching everyone's attention in the room. I quickly get up and change into my final day outfit again, seeing that was all I had right now. Sting and Lector ran outside with me, our footsteps loud and echoing down the corridor. As we get outside I hear the king mention something about dragons and wanting all the mages in the guilds to help to defeat them. Sting and I appear next to Rouge and Frooche. I give a smirk as I turn around and face Sting and Rouge.
"Shall we go slay some fucking dragons?" I ask to them.
They give me smirks as well. Each guild made a plan. In Sabertooth since we had two dragon slayers they'd each fight a dragon. I would go with them because of my power level. I can do major damage to the bones and put people and enemies to sleep. So Sting, Rouge and myself, head in the direction of two dragons. I go with Sting since he can't hide himself like Rouge can. As we approach the dragon Lector looks at me and puts his paw on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry we couldn't find Tenroku. We looked everywhere. But there wasn't any sign of him," He said and it made me smile that they looked everywhere for him. It meant a lot that he did. I think since he knows I'm going through what he was made him more... compassionate. As I look at the dragon we approach as we run towards him I put my hands on Sting's arm and I shouted a spell.
"Moon Beam Speed!" I shout as the ground below both of us started to glow in a magic circle.
As both of our speeds increased we ran forward at lightning speed. I then looked at Sting and nodded my head as he nodded back. With a mutual understanding that we were partners in this battle. No matter what we both have to make it out of here alive. We don't have a choice. To see the friends that we love. To see my exceed again. I'd move mountains if it meant I got to see him again.
The dragon's roar pulled me out of my thoughts, reminding me that we were in the middle of a fight. The dragon massive and a purplish pink tint. It had two large horn like things jutting from under its chin and forehead, almost touching just in front of its mouth. It had looked like a crescent moon stuck through its head.
Sting took on a frontal assault, catching the dragon's attention.
"White dragon's roar!" He yelled before sending the attack at the dragon. The dragon only stumbled slightly, the attack seeming to leave it unphased. Meanwhile, I used the rubble of buildings to get higher. I used moon beam speed to get up faster, jumping across from rubble pillar to pillar. Once I got high enough I leaped forward towards the dragon.
"Moon spear!" I shouted then the spear formed in my hand. I would dig the spear into the dragon's side, the spear managing to break through the it's scale covered exterior. It thrashed as the spear slipped downwards, opening a decent sized wound. My grip on the spear started to fail me, my hands sliding down as the dragon threw itself from side to side. A scream let my throat once I was forced to let go, being quickly knocked to the side by the large dragon.
I landed on the ground then slid back into rubble, the ground showing a clear path of where I made an impact and where I was now. Sting immediately grew worried.
"Luna!" He'd shout.
"I'm fine!" I yelled back, getting up a little dazed.
We both looked back at the dragon, watching it pull the spear from its side. Compared to the dragon, the spear looked like a small thorn. The creature lifted the spear up and examined it for a second before crushing it in his palm. "Moon magic..." It said, making both Sting and myself need to step back. The dragon turned to me then lowered his head to the ground to properly see me.
"Finally, a worthy opponent... You'll be destroyed by the great Scissor Runner before I move on to take your world." It snarled. Sting ran forward shortly after, ready for another attack.
"White dragon's claw!" He yelled.
The attack hit but only made the dragon flinch. Scissor Runner sung his large tail around and hit Sting with it, crushing him between a building. The building fell when the dragon moved it's tail away, Sting needing to take a moment to catch his breath after. Quickly, I ran forward, seeing the dragon's head was still leave with me.
"Moon light cannon!" I shouted, holding my hands up while I ran forward. A large beam of light hit the dragon head on, making him throw his head back in pain while his vision was blinded for the moment. Before the dragon could regain his vision, I used another attack.
"Moon shine, brilliant blast!" I yelled. Many explosions would form across the dragons body, but it seemed to barely affect him. He shook his head as his vision returned, immediately letting out an ear splitting roar. My jaw clenched and I lifted my hands to my ears, blocking it out as best I could. Once the roar stopped, I was swept off my feet by the dragons large claw. He was about to crush me into a building like he did with Sting. Quickly I shouted out another spell.
"Moon dust shield!" I yelled just in time.
I let out a grunt when I went flying into the side of the shield, the shield keeping me stuck between the dragons hand and the building. The building started to break and fall over as the dragon used more force to try and squish me. Suddenly he stopped, turning his head away to look at Sting once a small explosion went off on the dragon's other side.
"Holy ray!" Sting yelled, sending a barrage of light at the dragon. It turned away from me after and the shield fell to the ground, no longer wedged between the dragon and the wall. I was like a hamster in a ball, or at least that's what I felt like. I let the shield down then ran forward, just narrowly avoiding the dragon's tail as it turned to Sting.
"Lunar eclipse beam!" I said, sending the magic attack up a little high. It came back around like a boomerang then hit the dragon head on. It stumbled slightly and I needed to jump out of the way as it stomped around.
"White dragon's roar!" Sting shouted. The large beam of light hit the dragon in it's already unstable state, making it fall back. It hit the ground, landing on its back with a massive 'thud.' When it hit the ground it kicked up a large amount of dust and dirt. I had gotten to Sting by now, both of us staring at the spot the dragon fell. He gave me a strong pat on the back and let out a cheer, thinking that was it. The dragon's fall had caught the attention of the dragon fighting Rogue.
"Scissor Runner?" The blue tinted dragon called out, this dragon had resembled some kind of aquatic creature. It hand a number of fin like spines across its body, it's color a solid blue. Then was a loud roar before the rubble where the dragon fell started to shift.
"I'm fine, just mad." Scissor Runner yelled, getting up at the same time. Once back up, the dragon let out a low and menacing growl. It suddenly roared at us, sending a beam in our direction. Upon impact with the ground, there was a large explosion. Sting and I both jumped to opposite sides, both of us gaining a few burns here and there.
"Moon creator destruction!" I yelled.
"White dragon's holy breath!" Sting said at the same time.
Two large explosions mixed together, Sting's normally white attack turning a mixed shade of lavender and ice blue. The dragon let out a loud roar, the attack being the strongest we had thrown at him yet. It left a giant hole in the ground once the explosion cleared, the dragon quickly climbing out. "That's enough!" It snapped, quickly swatting Sting to the side.
My eyes widened as it turned its head down towards me, trying to grab me with its large pinchers coming from its head. It called my shield up quickly just before it closed around me. I put my hands up in the spot where the top pincher hit the shield, using magic power to keep the shield intact so I didn't get impaled. The dragon tried to squish Sting with his foot at the same time, Sting using all his strength to stop that from happening with his back against the ground. He used white drive to put up more of a fight, but he was preoccupied while I was stuck in my shield for now. I saw the top start to break and I panicked.
"No no no..." I repeated, pouring more power in it to keep the shield strong. The dragon showed it's sharp teeth in a crooked smile, watching me struggle.
"I've fought your kind before, they all perished." Scissor Runner sneered.
The shield started to crack more and I stared wide eyed, never feeling such real fear for my own life. With the full moon now at its peak I should be able to keep the shield up for a while. The moon would increase the power in my spells, it was a perk of using my magic type. I decided to do something that normally would have been risky, I tried to cast a second spell.
"Lunar brigade!" I yelled, still trying to hold the shield. Swords appeared in the air behind me, each then turning to point at the dragon. They were twice the size of what they were normally thanks to the boost from the full moon. Controlling the swords and keeping the shield up at the same time was costly to my magic power, making the shield start to grow weak again. Part of the top pincher from Scissor Runner broke through the shield a bit, making my eyes widened. It wouldn't be long before the shield would break entirely, so I waved my hand and directed the swords to the dragon.
The swords broke apart from a formation, each sword going separate directions. The dragon began to swat at the air, trying to get rid of the swords as if they were flies circling him.
Once sword traveled upwards then turned sharply, embedding itself within the dragon's eye. The dragon let out a real pained roar, throwing his head back. The shield I was safely in would fall once the pincers on his head let it go, taking me with it. The dragon stumbled back, clutching it's now wounded eye while I plummeted to the ground.
I knew the shield probably would break when I hit the ground so I braced myself for the impact. I shut my eyes tightly but the pain of hitting the ground never came, instead it was just a bump. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Sting had caught me.
Once I realized that I wasn't flattened out across the ground I let out a sigh in relief then stood up straight with the help of Sting. We both turned to the dragon after, seeing the other dragon that was fighting Rogue was talking with it.
"Ha, you're having trouble Scissor Runner." The blue dragon said, only making Scissor Runner angry.
"Not for much longer Levia." Scissor Runner said, turning his gaze back to Sting and myself. We both stumbled back a bit, obviously growing tired. From the looks of it, Rogue was tired as well.
The large beast went forward, one eye now permanently closed. He thrashed violently, trying his best to hit either Sting or myself with his large claws.
Suddenly, the dragon started to glow white as well did his friend. Both Scissor Runner and Levia had looked panicked, watching each other fade out of existence.
"The gate!" Levia shouted, coming to the conclusion that the eclipse gate was destroyed. This meant that they never had access to this timeline in the future, meaning they didn't exist here. It wasn't long before the dragons had disappeared, every single one that entered through the gate now gone.
Everyone was left injured, including myself. I looked at Sting with a smile.
"Well... That was a thing and we didn't die. I'd say that's a job well done," I said laughing holding my arms.
As we're walking I see someone from Mermaid Heel approach. Her name was Millianna I think. When I saw who she was holding in her hands I just about lost it. When I saw Tenroku waving I quickly ran to him as fast as I could, ignoring the pain in my body from the battle earlier. My mind raced, extremely happy to have him back and safe once again. I hugged Tenroku tightly, surely making it a little hard for him to breathe but I just missed him so much.
"I thought I'd never see you again!" I shouted as tears fell from my eyes.
"You'll always get me back," he said hugging me with tears as well.
I got my best friend back. I turned to Sting, giving a happy and teary eyed smile.
"Let's go get ready. If my suspicions are correct then there's gonna be a party held for us guild members from every guild," I say holding Tenroku tightly.
"Luna I have to apologize. For everything. I treated you like you were beneath me. But with me being the new master of Sabertooth I want to rebuild the guild to where it treasures its members." He told me holding my hand.
He's finally become someone that I can consider going through hell with. Someone who I can rely on. We start walking to the palace with Rouge. Hopefully the party has booze because I'm gonna need it after tonight. Before we get to the castle Sting did something that made me blush uncontrollably. He kissed my cheek. I tried to cover my face with my hands but it didn't work and the more I fumbled the more evident my blush was. We then entered the palace and I go find Cana to get ready and tell her about everything that happened, happy to have made a new friend from this whole ordeal.
