Finding out our destinies!

As Aurora and I are walking through the woods to Polyusica's tree hut, we keep asking questions about each other. We mainly ask about our magic and our personalities, taking this time as a chance to get to know each other a little bit. She was adopted by someone named Irene Belserion, a very powerful mage who lived in Alacatashia over in Alvarez. She moved here after she met Sitri, turns out they were roommates as well as best friends. As I keep walking with her so many questions entered my mind about why my mother didn't tell me about her. Was she scared? Did she not remember? This made me wonder about what else my mother has been hiding from me. What did she do that made her have to give up one of her daughters. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Zeref or someone else that forced her to give up Aurora. I don't think my mom would give her up on purpose since she seemed to value family so much from what I remember... I hope.
"So, what was mom like?" She asked me.
I blink then shake my head quickly after coming back out of my own little world. "She was wonderful." I say with a smile.
"I wish I could've met her." She says.
As soon as she said that I remembered my promise to my mother. I promised I would go back for her so we could all be together. With the eclipse gate in it's now destroyed... I can't... Meaning I'd never see my mother again. I felt the tears start to form in the corners of my eyes, the thought of her being stuck in the past making my heart fill with dread. Quickly, I wipe my eyes so as to not let Aurora see.
"Just wait until Gajeel meets you. He'll be so happy." I say smiling.
Remembering everything from my past is difficult to this day. I thought I knew my mother when I really didn't. Thinking about this secret that she kept from both Gajeel and myself made me suspicious to say the least. As I look ahead I see the famous tree hut of Miss Porlyusica. I take a deep breath and prepare myself as Aurora tilts her head in confusion.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"You've never met Porlyusica, have you?" I say a little worried.
"No I haven't, why?" She says.
"She.... Has a temper and doesn't like people." I say closing my eyes.
"I see.... Should we knock or?" She says.
"You can just tell me what you're doing here?" Miss Porlyusica says and we both jump.
"Uh Miss Porlyusica! Makarov sent us. I'm Luna Nightingale from Sabertooth." I say rubbing the back of my neck.
"And I'm Aurora Daystar." she says scared and hiding behind me.
"What are you girls doing here? Especially someone from Sabertooth?" She asks.
"Makarov wants you to do a DNA test. We're wanting to know if we're twin sisters." I say looking down.
"Very well, I'll do this once and only once for a member of Sabertooth." She says and plucks a hair from each of us.
I follow her inside as she puts each hair into a small tube. As mine turns green and hers turns red. "When I mix these two together if they turn Blue then your sisters but not twins. If it turns Red then you're not related at all. If it turns Black then your twins." she says and we both nod.
As she turns back to the tubes she then pours them into a beaker. She mixes the liquids together and my eyes widen when the liquid turns black, the color she said it would turn for twins. I look over as Aurora's eyes are wide as well. I then look at Porlyusica to see if she had anything else to say.
"Well that settles it then... You two are twins.... Wait... What magic do you each use?" She asks going over to a book quiet suddenly.
"Uh I'm a Moon Mage." I said looking confused.
"And I'm a Sun Mage." Aurora says also with confusion.
"Just like the prophecy." She says quietly but loud enough for me to hear.
"I'm sorry but Miss Porlyusica, what prophecy are you talking about?" I ask her while looking at her book.
"You see in the time of Zeref. Back when he was a boy legends were told about twin girls with powers of the night and day." She says as she holds the book out for us.
"It is said that Before the dawn on the third day of the harvest moon, The passage will be opened along the roads of time in the southern continent. Two female wizards both connected by blood Will use the powers of the moons light and the suns warmth To close the passage and in turn, save the flow of the universe and reunite a family." She says to us.
I look at the amulets in the book and I hold mine as the moon amulet looks exactly like the one Sting got for me. I watch as Aurora looks at the sun amulet and pulls out a necklace that matches it.
"Lady Irene gave this to me when I turned 18 that was 2 years ago. She said it reminded her of me." She says as I look at her rubbing her shoulders.
As we wave goodbye to Porlyusica we walk back through the forest. I see Tenroku flying towards us along with another exceed. This exceed was white and had deep, red eyes.
"Tenroku, who's this?" I ask once he flew over to me so I could pet him.
"She's my exceed." Aurora says smiling and petting her. "Luna, Tenroku, this is Hanami. Hanami, this is my twin sister, Luna Nightingale and her exceed Tenroku."
"Since when do you have a twin sister?!" Hanami asks.
"Well I just found out today." She says smiling.
"Well, well, well... So miss Nightingale has a twin sister. I never would have guessed.
My eyes go wide as I look around holding Tenroku close. I'd know that voice anywhere I mean hell I've been with the guild for years now.
"Minerva show yourself!" I shout fear entering my eyes.
"Luna what's going on?" Aurora asks.
"Just keep your exceed close. Minerva took mine just to get me to do as she pleases." I say as Aurora tightly holds Hanami.
"Oh come now Luna are you really gonna act scared? After what you and Erza have done to me you don't deserve your title or rank in Sabertooth!" She yells coming out from the treeline.
"I haven't done anything to you!" I yell still holding Tenroku.
"On the contrary you have! Because of you I can never go back to Sabertooth! I plan to kill you here and now, Miss Moon Mage." She says with venom dripping off each word. Minerva had two emotions in her eyes, hate and bloodlust. It was a dangerous combination for a mage of her power.
"Tenroku take Hanami and Aurora somewhere safe. I can handle Minerva." I say getting into a fighting stance.
"But Luna I wanna help!" says Aurora.
"So, she is your sister... Interesting." Minerva says.
I watch the orb form around Aurora and I see her disappear and then reappear in front of Minerva.
"Aurora!" I scream.
Minerva held a smirk before she suddenly kicked her foot into Aurora's stomach. Aurora went flying back, landing on the ground with a small thud. Aurora would clutch her stomach tightly, the pain from Minerva's heel making her clench her jaw slightly. Minerva placed her hands on her hips then scoffed.
"Your sister is weak, you must be ashamed." Minerva sneered.
Aurora glanced at me briefly, a bit of pain still in her eyes. My gaze narrowed and I focused my attention on Minerva. I ran forward, holding my arm out.
"Moon spear!" I shouted, then the spear formed in my hand. I tried to jab it at Minerva but she had teleported Aurora in front of herself again before I could hit her. I tripped slightly, letting myself fall to the ground rather than hurt my sister on accident. Aurora turned sharply and jabbed her elbow into Minerva's flank, making Minerva almost let her go.
"Solar flare!" Aurora shouted, casting a spell upon herself shortly after.
A small flare would circle around Aurora and create a shield around her, burning Minerva in the process. Minerva let out a hiss in pain then let Aurora go, a stinging burn now visible across one of her arms. Tenroku had come to my side and helped me up. He would fly upwards slightly with the help of his wings then grab onto my back, taking me with him. I tightened my grip on my spear then gestured forward, Tenroku then swooping forward with me. Aurora had been fighting Minerva, both of them seemingly skilled when it came to hand to hand combat. I would throw my spear forward like a javelin, the spear then cut through the air then landed in the ground between Minerva's feet. It caught her attention for a moment then Aurora fired a spell.
"Morning star radiant explosion!" She yelled, sending a large beam of orange light towards Minerva. Minerva was immediately pushed back since she was so close, my spear tripping her up. She rolled across the ground, landing on her back in the end. I landed next to Aurora with Tenroku's help then grabbed my spear, pointing it Minerva after.
Minerva looked shocked for a moment then she smirked, disappearing shortly after into a ball of green and blue light. Aurora and I looked around, our backs facing each other. I held my spear, waiting for Minerva to show up again.
Suddenly, we were both pushed forward. Minerva had appeared between us and kicked both of us in separate directions before she touched the ground. I quickly got up and turned, only for Minerva to be gone again. Aurora got up shortly after then scowled, hearing Minerva's devilish laugh across the breeze.
A portal suddenly appeared in front of me and Minerva's hand reached out, grabbing my neck. My eyes widened as I felt the airflow to my lungs get cut off.
"Luna!" Aurora yelled before she started to run over.
I began to feel consciousness leave me
until she suddenly let go. I fell to the ground and went I looked up, I saw
Tenroku. He had bit her arm, making her focus on trying to get him off. Aurora's exceed, Hamami had also gone to help Aurora. Her exceed would help Aurora fly just like Tenroku did for me earlier. They had reached Minerva faster this way and Aurora could grab Minerva's arm from the portal before she vanished again. Aurora pulled Minerva from the portal, Tenroku now finally let go of her arm.
Aurora flipped Minerva forward but Minerva was extremely limber and managed to land on her feet. She turned her arm and kept a grip on Aurora's arm, trying to bend it in a painful way. Aurora let out a hiss in pain and let go of Minerva, but Minerva wouldn't let go of her. I got up then casted a spell before she would break Aurora's arm.
"Moonstone explosion!" I yelled.
Minerva's eyes would widen when the spell to affect, multiple small explosions going off across her body. She was forced to let go of Aurora from the pain, it had felt as if her bones were breaking. She held one arm around her own side, trying not to focus on the pain as she turned to me. She held her arm out and casted a cage like spell, one I remember she had used on me before. This time it was focused on her and Aurora, locking me out.
Aurora was still recovering from her slightly twisted arm. Minerva suddenly closed her fist, making the cage sap Aurora's magic power.
My eyes widened and I banged on the cage, only for it to make me clench my jaw in pain. Aurora had fallen to her knees, her hands clenched into fists while her power was drained. I stepped back then took in a deep breath.
"Moonstone crater destruction!" I shouted.
The spell blasted through the cage that Minerva had set up, ultimately landing on her. She was thrown back, letting out a grunt when she hit the ground.
Aurora had gotten up with the help of her exceed and panted slightly, recoveries from Minerva's last attack.
"That's it!" Minerva yelled once she got up, obviously frustrated.
She vanished then appeared from a portal above me. Minerva let out a yell then attempted to slam a kick down a top my head. She was suddenly stopped mid air, Tenroku and Hanami both grabbing her and holding her up with the help of their wings. Minerva started to swat at the exceeds, but it gave me enough time to get to Aurora.
"Morning sun radiant explosion!" She yelled.
"Moonstone crater destruction!" I shouted at the same time.
Both attacks went flying forward, taking out anything in their path. The exceeds let Minerva go then quickly got out of the way, not wanting to get caught up in the blast. When Minerva landed on the ground, she was quickly swept away.
There was a large explosion, the two attacks mixing and making one large crater. It all happened in a blast of purple
and orange light, leaving little left in the wake of the attack. Minerva was at the bottom of a massive hole once everything cleared, the damage surprising even myself.
"I didn't expect it to be that powerful..." I heard Aurora say, obvious caught in awe.
I only nodded then looked down at where Minerva was, letting out a sigh of relief when she didn't dare get up again. Our exceeds returned to us and gave us both hugs, happy the fight was over.
"Well, I'm glad that's over," I said with a smile.
Looking back down at Minerva I saw that she disappeared. I felt the sweat drop and I turned to Aurora.
"She'll be back... she always is..." I say to her, looking visibly shaken.
As we walk back into town I see pantherlily come up to me.
"There you are, Gajeels been looking for you since he got back. He's at the guild hall." He says and I nod.
"Thanks we'll make our way there." I say and he flies off.
As Aurora and I get to the guild hall I wave to Gajeel and he waves back, running up to us quickly after. I give him a big hug and he returns it with just as much force, maybe a little bit more.
"Gajeel, I have some exciting news!" I say cheerfully.
"Really? What is it?" He asks.
"Meet Aurora Daystar... We just went to Porlyusica and found out something interesting." I say with a smile.
"And that is? Come on tell me!" He says impatiently.
"We're twins!" I yell happily.
He stands there in complete shock. Suddenly a few tears run down his face, but they were thankfully tears of joy. I could easily tell he was happy to have more family.
"She's gonna join me in Sabertooth. To make up for a mistake our old guild master made." I say and he nods.
"Well sis, if you don't like it there you can always join Fairy Tail." He says with a smile.
"I'll keep that in mind." She says giggling. "But we really must be going. I want to join ASAP." She says.
"I'm sorry to cut my trip short but please tell everyone that we'll be back soon." I say with a smile. "And remind Mirajane that she and I will battle next time I'm in town."
"I will. I hope I get to get to know my other older sister in time." He says giving us both a hug.
"I'm just glad I've finally found a family." Aurora says happily, crying a little bit.
"And we'll always be here... No matter what. After all, we are actual family." I say as I smile towards her.
As I grab my things from Ezra's place, I smile and wave goodbye to Gajeel as Aurora and I leave on the train. I'm so excited to go home, but most importantly I'm excited to see Sting again. To feel his warm embrace, to be greeted by his loving smile. And to introduce my sister to a warm guild. As Aurora falls asleep i smile with a single thought running through my head.
'I'm coming Sting.... I'm coming...'
