~Luna's POV~
As I'm walking towards the center of town I noticed someone in the distance. I could tell she was powerful. I could feel her magic power from here. However, I'm more powerful with my moon magic. I keep walking with my blonde hair blowing in the wind. The others should encounter their targets soon or already have. My red eyes glowed with determination. A fire burned within me. As we finally got in close enough range She smirked at me.
"So you're the one who gets the pleasure to bask in my presence. I hope you know what an honor it is for you to face me." She says obviously full of herself.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Great I have to deal with a child." I said shaking my head.
"Who are you calling a child? I am a goddess among mortals." She said.
My eyes twitched in annoyance. She reminded me of Minerva. I took a deep breath then opened my eyes. I turned my arm into water as I approached her. I'll have to put her in her place like I did with Minerva.
"Ooooo you use water magic? Well that's just peachy." She said with a grin.
I looked confused until my body started going into an agonizing pain. When I looked down I was covered in Electricity.
"See I use lightning magic so this will be an easy fight." She said smugly.
I looked up at her and growled as I fell to one knee.
"See darling I'm the great Selena. It doesn't matter how powerful you think you were in Ishgar. I'm much more powerful than you'll ever hope to be. So you might as well head home now." She said as she turned and walked away.
I then stood up struggling a little bit. "I... Am a member of the Sabertooth guild... " I said walking forward as pain filled my legs every step. "I will NOT lose to the likes of a selfish brat like you."
She stopped dead in her tracks and turned giving a dark aura. "What the hell did you just call me?" She said through gritted teeth.
"You heard me. Unlike you I've had to work for my struggles. And I've earned each wound, each scar, and every amount of my magic. I've cried, I've laughed, and I've been in far worse pain than this. So if you think for a second that I'm gonna let you push me around and bully me. You've got another fucking thing coming. As a member of Sabertooth I will not allow the reputation of my guild to suffer. I will not lose to someone who reminds me so much of my archenemy. I hope your prepared to get knocked down a few pegs. Because you won't be winning this fight." I said with determination in my eyes and soul.
She looked at me with a scowl. "You're gonna regret going against me. Bring it bitch!" she yelled as she threw a lightning bolt at me after jumping into the air.
Selena could easily manipulate the element to her will, being extremely skilled in her magic type. Even though I dodged her initial attack, she managed to focus it within the ground and create something akin to a static field. The electricity covered the span of the area, eventually reaching me. When I felt the electricity course throughout my body, my back arched and my limbs tensed. Each volt that ran across my skin would burn so intensely that it was coupled with a constant stinging pain.
Selena let out a laugh before she pressed the palm of her hand to her cheek, watching my pain with awe.
"Aw, and I thought you'd at least give me a little excitement... That's too bad." She cooed, her tone obviously mocking me.
I pushed through the pain then forced my arm forward, sending the water that took the place of my arm forward like a whip. Selena stumbled back slightly, giving me a chance to escape her trap of electricity. Before she could attack me again, I quickly trapped her in a water lock.
I cast the spell and the large bubble of water forms around her. She seemed to just float there for a moment, deciding what to do next while holding her limited breath. Suddenly, yellow bolts of electricity started to form within and around the bubble, making small zapping sounds each time they cracked. Suddenly, the bubble would burst. Selena landed on her feet, seemingly furious while electricity cracked across the battlefield. When the water lock was broken, water flooded the area. With her power, it was all supercharged with lightning.
"I can't believe you, you've gotten my hair wet!" She sneered, throwing her head up suddenly so her bow soaked locks would fly back and out of her face. Her dark eyes held a fire, fueled by rage and fury.
"Your hair is going to be the least of your problems." I said before placing my feet firmly on the ground.
"What a confident bitch, but you will break. You will cry, and plead, and beg to the goddess before you, praying for mercy while I electrocute every living cell in your feeble body." She spat, each word being laced with a thick coat of venom.
Selena ran forward, holding her hand out as a long whip formed from lightning and electricity appeared. She would swing it forward, cutting right through the whips of water that had formed from my arms. Selena attacked with the whip in a crisscross style, giving me no time to react in-between. Instead, I just backed up and tried to put a bit more distance between us. Each time she hit the water that came from my arms, I'd feel a sharp electric shock.
Suddenly she smirked then swung the whip to the side. It wrapped around my body, making my fists clench in pain. It would bind my arms to my sides, keeping me from doing anything else.
I struggled, but managed to lift my arm enough to cast a spell.
"Water body!" I called. I turned into a mass of water, which made the whip around me just seem to fall. Casting that spell had hurt extremely, but at least I was freed from her electric cage.
"Water nebula!" I then called, sending the attack straight to Selena.
Two massive columns of water formed then went straight to Selena, creating enough force to push her back. She slipped since the battlefield was still covered in water from earlier. She got up on her knees, so angry that a small vein looked like it was about to pop out of her forehead. She was now covered in mud, seeming to fuel her anger. Selena stared at the mud on her hands for a moment, her eyes blazing with disgust and hatred.
"That's it! I've had enough!" She shouted then stood up, running straight for me.
My eyes widened slightly then I jumped out at the way when she sent a lightning bolt at me, later realizing that it was just a distraction. After I dodged, she grabbed my arm. Selena sent enough electricity through my body, it caused me to fall to my knees. My arm shook slightly while she pumped who knows how many volts through it.
Suddenly, I heard my name.
"Luna!" Sting called, skidding to a stop once he saw the state I was in. "Let her go!" He shouted to Selena, who just smirked.
"Well, isn't this sweet." She hummed, her gaze focused on Sting. "I'm not sure how you landed him, he is definitely easy on the eyes."
Selena then let me go, having enough of me for the moment. I immediate crashed to the ground, still feeling tensed up from the shock she had run through me. She then sauntered closer to Sting, her gaze seductive.
"Why waste your breath on her when I give you a chance to become my God? Every goddess needs one don't they?" She asked, holding a teasing smirk.
"Goddess? The only goddess here is the woman that I love... You're nothing to me." Sting said. Selena's expression suddenly changed and she opened the palm of her hand.
"Then you'll join your goddess in death!" She snapped before suddenly throwing a lightning bolt at Sting. It had gone into his stomach, hitting him directly. Sting immediately fell, his body clenching like mine had at the volts of electricity.
I had finally recovered then ran over to Sting, letting myself fall next to him. I turned him over to look at his face, my eyes scanning across his body to make sure he was still alive. When I realized how still and unresponsive he was, my eyes widened and my hands shook.
Selena had walked away a bit, letting out a sinister laugh.
"What a dramatic tale, I applaud you both... Though I wish he would of been easier to kill." She said.
My gaze wandered over Sting while I would bite back tears. My sadness would turn into anger easily at her words when I wondered why.
"Selena..." I trailed off then stood up, turning to face her. She still held the same smirk, her gaze holding a teasing glint.
"How dare you! You're a monster... And you think that you can just take what is mine away from me!? I don't give a damn about your looks or your magic power! And I swear, even if the world does end today and even if every last drop of my blood boils away, you will pay for what you've done! I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN WITH ME!" I shouted, each word fueling the next with anger as my hatred grew.
She seemed shaken for a moment then made a small 'tsk' sound before she readied herself to fight once again.
"Enough fooling around..." I said.
Selena's eyes then widened, feeling my magic power completely shift. She stepped back slightly, her gaze showing a bit of fear.
"W-What..." She studders out.
"Moon Shine Brilliant Blast!" I called out. Selena let out a pained cry shortly after when the attack took affect, multiple explosions then going off across her body. She stumbled slightly after, giving me a chance to cast another spell shortly after.
"Lunar Brigade." I called out. Swords then appeared behind me, all focused on Selena. She looked up through her hair that would cover her face slightly, her jaw clenched in pain from the last attack.
I sent the swords forward at her one after another while she attempted to twist and turn out of the way. One of them skimmed her arm, leaving a thin line of a cut behind. She hissed at the sudden pain then was knocked back when another sword hit her chest. Luckily for her, she had armour there and was only knocked back.
"Moon Beam Speed." I called then ran forward, using the spell to make me faster. Before I reached her, I held out my hand a summoned my spear.
"Moon Spear." I said, the spear then materializing within my hand.
Selena jumped out of the way when I attempted to strike her, making me hit the ground instead. The force I put into the strike made the spear plunge into the ground. While I tried to pull it out, she would call her whip again. Selena attack, sending the whip forward in my direction. This time it wrapped around my arm but instead of withering in pain, I grabbed it. I ignored the shocking pain from the electric charged whip and pulled her forward, making her eyes widen in slight fear. When I pulled my spear from the ground, I channeled the electricity from her whip into the spear. I then threw it towards her, making her fall back to the ground when she was faced with my attack and the power of her own. The spear shattered after, breaking away into a million tiny pieces.
"Moon Creator Destruction!" I yelled before she could get up again.
A large explosion went off, leaving massive hole behind. Selena seemed unconscious at the bottom of it, obviously beaten.
I ran back to where Sting was, dropping next to his rather still frame. When he suddenly coughed, I jumped slightly.
"You're okay! I can't-... Oh you're okay!" I stumbled out words, my arms then wrapping around him when he sat up slightly. Sting blinked then hugged me back.
"Yeah... I just think I didn't recover from my own fight before she attacked me, I feel better now." He explained. He grew confused when he heard my small sniffles. "Why are you crying?" He asked when he got to see my face.
"I thought you were dead!" I snapped, feeling a few tears run down my cheeks. Sting cupped my face in his hands, his gaze soft and gentle.
"I'm not, I'm here and I don't plan on leaving you." He said before placing a gentle kiss on my lips.
I smiled slightly then turned when I heard a small cough. Selena pulled herself from the creator then rolled over on her back, her gaze turned towards the sky. I tensed slightly, the events from a moment ago still fresh in my mind.
"I... Lost..." She mumbled as I walked over. When she saw me, she sat up slightly. Her gaze seemed pained and saddened. "You didn't kill me?" She asked.
"No... I wouldn't wish death upon anyone." I said.
"But I ask you to, kill me." She said, her gaze then turning to the ground. Her fists clenched slightly then shook. "I failed, I can't go back." She said.
"It's just one fight..." I said.
"You wouldn't understand..." She started. Selena raised her head to met my gaze. "I come from nothing, this was my only chance to change my fate... You never had to experience going to bed with an empty stomach, unable to sleep while your mind is forced to think about where and when your next meal would come. You never held a sibling within your embrace while you tried desperately to keep then alive, only for them to slip away due to cold and hunger." She said.
I immediately felt remorse, understanding that she had come from a poor background.
"I've done so much to distance myself from that life, I would do anything I had to not to go back or be associated with it any longer... Yet here I arm, covered in mud and dirt like an urchin once again." Selena said, her gaze wandering to her muddy hands.
"There are better ways to make a name for yourself... Like joining a guild." I told her before I kneeled down next to her.
"What guild would take me?" She asked.
"I'm sure Sabertooth would, we'd be glad to have such a great wizard." I said.
"Will you take me then? I have nothing left here..." Selena trailed off.
"Of course I would, everyone deserves a second chance." I told her.
Selena's gaze then turned cloudy as tears started to leak from her eyes. I had brought up so many past emotions and memories that she tried to forget, yet I gave her a second chance to prove she was more than what I saw from our fight. She would suddenly grab me, pulling me into a hug while she cried quietly. "Thank you..." She mumbled as I hugged her back.
My own memories flooded into my mind of the day I lost my mom and Gajeel. Knowing what it felt like when I realized I might never see them again. It was truly a emotional battle. I couldn't help but wonder how my brother and sister were doing. Hoping that they were having an easier fight than I had.
