Robots? I knew about AI shouldn't humans be around to keep them under control if they ever went rogue? And son? How in the world is it possible for a machine to have a son?
All these questions floated inside my head and to be honest, I couldn't make head or tails of them. Seriously, the first person I find was going to get assaulted by questions.
The robots were getting closer and closer to the hole, and pretty soon they were going to come across it. I needed to find a hiding place, and fast.
"Hey dad look, there's a hole here" I heard the son say. "I think that noise came from down there."
"Cr** please don't come in here please" I silently pleaded. My pleas were useless though because at that very moment I heard the dad say "You're right, let's check it out."
"Oh no" I whispered. I needed to find a hiding place fast. I scanned the room in a second and dash towards the nearest and best hiding spot I could see.
"Huh?" came the son's voice, "Dad, did you see that thing?"
"No, but let's kill it and hang it's carcass as a trophy on our wall" replied the dad evilly.
"Oh my god, I better not be found" I thought scared. I had to hope the lighting and the akward position of my hiding spot would save me from being spotted and killed. "And have my dead body hung on the wall as a trophy" I added shuddering at the thought.
They both dropped from the ceiling to the ground. I held my breath. I didn't want to get noticed.
"Start looking" I heard the dad whisper. Very quietly, they began to look around. They started from the opposite side of the room and slowly began to work their way towards the other side, and my hiding spot.
"This place wasn't built by robots, was it dad?" the son asked.
"No, it was made by humans" the dad responded.
"Humans?" the son inquired.
"The most heartless and cruelest of creatures to ever walk the Earth, you should be glad they are all dead, they killed millions of us before they went extinct" explained the dad.
"Da**, they deserved to die after killing millions of innocent machines."
"Yeah" agreed the dad scanning the room before seeing a door. "Hey, I see a door, stay here and keep lookout son, I'm going to see what's behind there."
I watched the machine step in to the doorway and continue forward until I couldn't see him anymore. This was the time to make a move.
Silencing my breathing, I kept my ears on high alert for any indication of the robot coming closer to me. None
I silently rolled out from under the bed and crouching, made my way towards the robot with no plan in mind. These people definitely hated humans, but maybe I could reason with this one and get some help.
Unfortunately, any chance of reaching a negotiation with the robot was destroyed when he turned around. We both froze in our positions, our eyes locked on to one another's.
In a flash, he lunged at me and pinned me to the ground. I struggled as much as I could and punched him in the face. He got stunned and momentarily loosened his grip on me. I took this opportunity and jabbed his face twice more before he completely fell of me.
Now was my chance, I started to get up before I felt a hand grip my legs and pull me down. I fell hard on my face. The impact really hurt and I'm sure my nose was bleeding. In a desperate attempt to escape the machine's grip I tried knocking him down with a kick.
