*Natalie's POV

"Don't you think you were a bit hard on him," Toni asked as she was wiping down the bar.

"Listen T, if you wanna take his side, then be my guest." I turned on the bar stool and saw Sweet Pea and Tall boy playing pool from a far.

"All I'm saying is, you didn't have to yell at him in front of the boys." I turned around and faced her.

"Yeah well he didn't have to yell at me in front of them either." I defended myself. "He should know his damn place." I slammed my fists on the bar, earning a few stares from the other serpents in the bar.

"You like him. Don't you?" She smirked crossing her arms.

"What, no, of course not." I protested. "Are you insane?" I played with the glass in front of me. "I just don't need him to turn out like the others." I muttered and got up from the bar and walked to the pool today.

"Hey." I whispered as I stood next to Sweet Pea. He was bent down ready to make the next shot.

"Think this Northsider's lost." He spoke up.

"What are yo-"

"I'm not." I looked up and saw Jughead walking in. He was wearing his serpent jacket. "I'm over being half a serpent." He stood his ground.

"Wow," Sweet Pea pushed passed me and walked towards him. "You will do anything to protect your little Northside buddies." He shoved Jughead and made his way to the end of the other side of the pool table.

"My father was a serpent, he led you." I looked at Jughead in astonishment. I was proud to say the least. He was finally stepping up. "Hell, Natalie and Tall Boy were the ones who gave me this jacket. I want to stand with you guys not against you."

"So, now you want to be a serpent, huh?" Tall Boy casually walked over to him in a cool manner.

"Tall Boy," I warned. He better not try anything, because he's already on my shit list for pulling that little stunt with Penny.

"Well if you wanna be a serpent, Juggie, let's see if you survive the initiation first." I spoke up.

I turned around and walked up the stairs to FP's office. I opened the door and closed it behind me. The only one that could ever go into FP's office without permission was me, whenever he wasn't around. I made my way to his chair and lazily sat down.

"What the hell am I going to do," I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. I sighed and leaned back against the chair. My eyes wandered on FP's desk but they stopped when I saw the three picture frames he had. He had one with the whole Jones' family and the other one was of Jughead and Jellybean. I picked up the last one and smiled.

It was FP and I.

"Nat," he sighed in frustration.

"Come on FP, please," I begged him.

"Nat, there is no way in hell I'm gonna let you become a serpent."

"F-"

"No Natalie!" He got up from his chair angrily.

"Well too fucking bad!" I yelled at him. "I'm gonna do it, whether you like it or not!"

"What did you say to me, little girl!" He made his way over to me.

"You're not my fuc-"

"Natalie?" There was a knock at the door. I put the picture frame down and went to go open the door. It was Hog Eye.

"Yeah, what's up, Hog Eye," I looked at the older man.

"I wanted to see if you could look over the books and sign them off when you're done."

"Yeah of course, let's go down." He nodded and turned around to go down the stairs. I shut the door behind me and followed him.

"Hey Nat," Fangs spoke up. I looked up from sharpening my blade and saw him and Sweet Pea with a group of younger serpents.

"What are you doing here, Fangs," I looked back down and kept sharpening my blade.

"We came to start off Jones' initiation." I heard Sweet Pea speak up. I looked up and the serpents behind him moved, and revealed Hot Dog eagerly wagging his tail.

"Hey boy," I called out to the dog. He quickly ran over to me panting more than happily. I let out a small laugh as I petted him.

"Alright," I got up from Jughead's porch steps. "He's asleep already," I smirked. "So let's do this quick and quietly." I made my way up the steps and opened it quietly, letting the serpents enter into Jughead's home.

"What the hell?" I heard Jughead from his room.

"Your initiation begins now, with assuming guardianship of the beast." I stood near the front door as they went to go wake up Jug. The serpents then walked out of his room and I opened the trailer door for them to walk out.

"Oh man, did you see the look on his face," Sweet Pea laughed as he pulled his mask off.

"Awe man, Nat, you should have seen him," Fangs laughed as we made our way down the steps.

"Glad you guys had fun," I rolled my eyes. "But you guys should get going." I put my hands in my pocket.

"Yeah, alright," Fangs breathed out. "Let's go Sweet Pea." He patted Sweet Pea's back.

"Nah, man you go ahead," I looked up at Sweet Pea. "I gotta do something first."

"Like what." Fangs asked confused. "It's like one in the morning."

"I gotta talk to Nat about Jughead running the gauntlet."

"Oh... alright then, I'll see you later." He shook hands with Sweet Pea and walked away with the other serpents.

"What about Jughead," I looked at Sweet Pea.

"I lied to Fangs to get him out of here." I formed an oh with my mouth and nodded. I sat down on the last step. "I'm sorry about earlier." He sighed sitting down next to me.

"Yeah me too," I muttered.

"Wait, what was that," he cupped his ear as if he didn't hear me. "I didn't quite get that."

"Oh shut up," I slightly shoved him making us both laugh. As our laughter died down I spoke up again. "No, but for real. I'm sorry."

"See that wasn't so hard now was it," he mocked me.

"Oh fuck off." I rolled my eyes smiling. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.

"I'm sorry too princess." He gave me a quick peck on the lips and smiled down at me. I smiled back at him and snuggled more into his side. And that's how we both ended our night. Close to one another, as the Riverdale morning breeze hit us as we sat on Jughead's porch steps.

A/N: A bit rushed, but I just wanted something up. The next one would be better. Trust me.
