*Natalie's POV

I woke up to sharp pain in my lower stomach.

It felt like I was stabbed and the knife was being twisted.

I pulled back the covers to get up.

But there was blood.

"Ah!" I cried out. I grabbed the phone from my night stand and went through my contacts.

"Come on," I cried.

"Hello?" He sounded like he just woke up.

"FP," I cried into the phone.

"Natalie," he sounded more alert. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"No," I cried. It hurt so much.

"I'll be right there."

The line went dead.

I sat there on the couch and stared at the stuffed animal that was on the coffee table.

After telling Toni the whole story we both decided it was best that I go home. She insisted on taking me but I was able to convince her to stay. It was her first day at Riverdale High, and I didn't want to ruin it anymore than it already was.

"Natalie, you there?" I heard knocking coming from the front door. I looked through the curtain and saw FP. I quickly got up and grabbed the stuffed bear and went into the kitchen as the knocking continued. I opened the cabinet under the sink and threw the stuffed animal into the trash.

"Hey," I rushed as I swung the door open.

"Hey?" FP eyed me suspiciously. "Toni texted me that you weren't feeling good. So I came to check up on you." I nodded my head.

"Well here I am," I let out a laugh.

"Yeah," he made his way into my trailer. I rolled my eyes as he aimlessly looked around.

"How about a ride?" He turned to look at me.

"A ride?" I looked at him confused. "What about work?"

"My shift doesn't start till later," he exhaled. "Come on, it'll just be you and me." He smiled.

"Fine." I gave in and grabbed my jacket.

"I know what today is." FP spoke up as my eyes remained on the river.

I hate Riverdale with a passion, but looking out towards the river always seemed to wash away what was going on. It was a place where I could come and be alone. Where I could be at peace.

"At the time," he sighed. "I didn't understand. I couldn't quite get it." I glanced up at him and then back at the river. "I was just so angry."

"I know." I whispered.

"I mean to see those pictures taped to the Wyrm." He shook his head. "It hurt me. I just... I didn't know what to do." I stayed quiet. "But after talking to you and after that night." He put his arm around me. "I knew. I knew how much he meant to you." He pulled away from me. "But Natalie, you can't keep going on like this. That thing you had with Malachai is over. What happened between you and him is in the past." I held my head down low.

"I can't just forget." I sniffed. "What he did." I sat up straight and walked closer to the river. I could hear his footsteps behind me. "What happened, I will never forget." I turned to him. "I will never forget." I repeated once more.

"Trust me, Natalie." He sighed. "If it were up to me I would take care of him myself. But we settled this already, remember?"

"If we settled this already," I pulled out the paper from my pocket. "Then why does he keep sending me reminders about it," I shoved the paper into his chest.

He grabbed the paper and read it.

"That bastard." He mumbled and then looked at me. "He wants to see you break. But you can't let him." He placed both of his hands on my shoulder. "You have me, Jughead, and the serpents." He paused for a second. "You have Sweet Pea." I shrugged his hands off of me and turned away from him. "You haven't told him yet, have you?" He said aloud. "Nat," he sighed. "You have to tell him sooner or later."

"Why?" I turned around quickly. "He doesn't need to know." I walked closer to him.

"Nat, Sweet Pea is a good kid." He ran his hands through his hair. "You can't just keep pushing him away and not give him a reason why." He stepped closer to me. "He needs to know. Before he finds out from someone else."

I met his eyes and nodded.

He was right.

"I can't believe you guys don't even see it." Jughead said in disbelief. "Weatherbee is profiling us. Tellin' us wha-"

"Calm down Fred Jones," I laughed as I heard him go off.

"Nat?" Toni smiled up at me.

"Hey guys," I smiled at them as I got closer to where they were sitting.

"How you feeling?" She asked. I notice Sweet Pea glance my way and then back at the arcade game.

"I feel good." I reassured her and made my way towards Sweet Pea.

"Hey," I placed my arm on his shoulder.

"Hey," he responded but kept his focus on the game.

"Jughead, you sound like a crazy conspiracy nut." I heard Toni from a far. "A school closed down."

"A crappy school." Sweet Pea piped in.

"Yeah And now we're at a better one." She tried to knock some sense into Jughead. "With a computer lab and text books."

"And toilets that flush." Sweet Pea still remained playing.

"Why do you think I always picked the girl's restroom." I whispered. He slightly chuckled at my comment.

"I'm sorry about earlier," I mumbled quietly.

"What do you mean?" He pressed down on the buttons harder. "The time you yelled at me or when you told me that you didn't want to be with me." He spat.

"Pea," I placed my hand over his that was on the joystick. "Can we go somewhere else and talk?" I looked around the Wrym. We really did not need to have this conversation here.

"Fine." He huffed and got off the stool.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"Toni, Jughead," I nodded at them. "I'll catch you later." Toni waved and nodded.

Looks like she's being left with the conspiracy nut.
