Bradie's POV

"You guys aren't in love!" I picked up the pillow of the couch that was closest to me. I whipped my hand back and chucked it at him.

"You don't know anything!" I screamed at him.

"I know you guys are 14 years old!"

"That means nothing!"

"You're too immature and too young to be in love!" he screamed again.

"Your opinion on me and Hayes is completely irrelevant and I don't give a flying fuck about what you think!" I was lucky my mom wasn't home to hear what I just told Ryan. Anger what raging in me. He thinks he can suddenly be in this part of my life and tell me what I am and what I'm not? "I'm happy with him why don't you understand that?" I lowered my voice. I starred at him while he was only a few feet away from me. I love Hayes and there's nothing he can do about. There's nothing he can say about it that would change anything about us. Ryan didn't answer me but I could see the hurt in his eyes. But honestly I don't care. I hope he could see the anger in mine. I walked past him while bumping into his shoulder. I made my way up to my room. I took my phone of my bed and sat on the edge. I texted Hayes.

B- can I come over later? kinda want it get out of this house.

H- Sure babe. What's going on at your house?

B- tell you when i get there. i have to go somewhere with my mom first 😒 be there in about a half and hour, thanks love you.

H- love you too

I went down stairs to meet my mom. We had to go pick up my asthma medicine and for some reason she wants me to come with her. "Ready?" she asked. I nodded my head and we got in the car in the garage. We pulled out of the drive way and I had my head leaning up against the window with my headphones in. "Bradie turn that down!"

I took out on headphone and looked at my mom, "huh?"

"Turn that down! I said it about 4 times."

"My bad." I turned the volume down but to only turn it up later on. Today's cold and rainy so I had my jacket on, I put my phone in my pocket and zipped it up. I saw two bright lights coming towards me through the grey and rain, then, it was all gone.

Hayes

It's been 2 hours sense B said she would be over. I got up off the couch and opened up the front door. It was pouring rain but I couldn't see a car in Bradie's drive way. I decided to text Ryan to see if he knew where she was at because she wasn't answering my texts.

- Do you know where B is?

I waited 20 more minutes and he didn't answer. I heard the home phone ring but my mom yelled that she'd answer it. I just sat on the couch and put my feet on the coffee. I played around with my phone in my hands. I could hear faint talks of my mom on the phone the last thing I hear was "we'll be there soon." Be where? My mom came into the living room with a worried look on her face. She sat down next to me, "honey we need to talk." About what? but I got this feeling in my stomach that this wasn't going to be good news.

"What about?" My voice was dry and raspy. I took my feet off the table.

"Bradie." I got this pit in my stomach like I was going to hate what she was going to say next. "She was in a car accident." My heart sank. I tried to speak but I couldn't. Words wouldn't form in my mouth. Thoughts were exploding in my head but I couldn't manage to have any come out my mouth. How did she get in a accident? is she okay? how hurt is she? Is her mom okay? "Come on, let's head over there. Nash come down here please!" my mom yelled upstairs. I was frozen in my spot. Staring into space but my vision was blurry, not from tears but not being able to focus. I heard footsteps of Nash coming down the stairs. I could hear him talking to my mom but wasn't comprehending what they were saying. Someone patted my shoulder but I moved in my place.

"Come on buddy let's go see her." Nash said.

"So it's bad." He sat down in front of me and I blinked a few times to get my vision right.

"What's bad?"

I waited to answer him, "If we have to go see her... Then she's in bad condition right?" I looked up at him.

"Let's just go see-" I cut him off.

"No. Answer me." I said sternly.

"Hayes, I have no idea what condition she's in but we won't know unless we go to the hospital." I forcefully got up and went to the car with the rest of my family. My dad was at work but I'm assuming my mom told him. I saw nobody shotgun so I was assuming nash let me have it even know we never does. We always get in arguments over the front seat and always race to who gets it first.

We pulled into the parking lot and I kept trying to open the door even though the car was still moving. "Honey, calm down."

"Mom, I need to go see her open up the door!" Wait, who was in the car with her? "Mom, who was in the car with B?" I looked at my mother who still had that worried expression plastered on her face. And I could tell she had sympathy for me, even though it shouldn't be for me, but did Bradie and who ever else was in that car.

"Her mom." She said it calmly while parking into a spot between 2 other cars.

"Is her mom okay?" Nash butted in.

"Yes. She was the one who called me actually, Jean only broke her forearm and got a few stitches in her forehead." She explained. A sudden thought popped into my head, did the car hit B's side?

"Wait, mom, did the car hit her side?"

She became aggravated, "Hayes, honey I don't know. We will find out once we get in there now let's go." She gestured her hands for me to get out of the car.

I opened up the car door and very quickly slammed it. I was about to take off sprinted but Nash grabbed my wrist. "Bro calm down she's gonna be in ICU later so you can't even see her anyway."

Wait what? "What do you mean 'gonna be in the ICU later'?"

"Well while your head was about to explode in the car I listened to mom." I actually wanted to punch him in the throat. I looked at my mom and she just shrugged her shoulders. I just shook my head and took off inside.

When I got to the front desk I was about to ask the lady for B's room but I remember what B told me. When I was in the hospital a few months ago she asked the lady for 'Hayes Grier' bit that's not the name that's filed, it's under 'Benjamin Grier'. So what's her real name? "We have to go to the ER waiting room. That's where her family is." I sighed and sped walk through the doors. Her family came into my sight. Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, Ryan, and her mom. Her mom had a plain white cast on her right arm, and bruises all over. She also had stitches on her forehead, and she was sitting holding a nice pack to her chest. I'm guessing the airbag hurt her.

People gave me hugs like I was expecting. I took a seat next to Ryan. He began talking immediately. "She was in the passengers seat. The car ran a red light. It crashed right into her side. The car flipped and landed in her side again. They say she's almost in grave condition but she's not. They got all wet from the rain. That's not important but I just think it's a fun little detail." He tried to smile but he couldn't. "But she's a fighter. She survived the last accident she was in. She can survive this one. I know it." I smiled knowing he believed that. But I believe it too.
