Bradie

I was at home now and it's Saturday, I'm on concussion watch for a while and I'm not suppossed to be back at school until Thursday but suprisingly my mom's letting me go back next Monday. She says I can "use some time to relax" whatever that means. But I'll take the time off school I can get. And I guess I can use some time to myself.

It's now 2 o'clock and Hayes hasn't been over today yet. He has spent everyday with me sense the lacrosse accident and he usually comes over around noon. I decided to get out of bed sense it was two and get some breakfast. well lunch but whatever.

As i was crutching down the spiral staircase I smelt something really good, but it wasn't a strong scent. I figured it was Ryan naking food but knowing him, he didn't make any for me.

Once i reached the bottom of the stairs I walked into the Kitchen to see Hayes standing there with his hands shoved into his Khaki shorts pockets, in the middle of my kitchen. I looked to see Buffallo Wild Wings sitting on the counter. I smiled really big and ran over to engulf him in a hug. He hugged me back and honestly his hugs are the best things ever. "Thank you," I told him

"Anything for my girl," I smiled and we sat down at the counter and ate and talked. My head was still pounding with pain but talking to him seemed to ease it.

We had finished eating an hour ago but we had still kept talking. We talked about the dumbest things and got in aurgements about the dumbest things but I loved every second of it. We decided to get up from the counter and move over to the couch. "Hey wait," Hayes said

"Yeah?" I turned around to face him.

"It's nice out, let's go lay on the hammock."

I sighed but followed him outside. He slide open the sliding glass door and we walked outside. As soon as I stepped out side I saw 'FALL?' writen out in lacrosse sticks and lacrosse balls writen out in the grass. I covered my mouth with my hands and looked up at Hayes who had a bouquet of tulips in his hands as he stood above the words.

"B, would you do me the honar of going to the Fall Dance with me?"

I was speechless but i knew exactly what I wanted to say. I ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug. We pulled away and I had the biggest smile on my face. He handed me the flowers and i took them "Yes. A million times yes," he leaned down and planted his soft lips on mine. I kissed him back then after a few seconds we pulled away. I simled at him and he smiled back. Not the smile he usally does for pictures but a nice genuine smile. "So," I said, "who helped you plan this?"

"Do you actually want to know?"

"Uh... Do I want to?" I was kind of hesitant now because he made it sound like I shouldn't know.

"You probably would" he responded

"Okay. Then who?"

He sighed "Dylan."

"What?!" I was really surprised.

"Yeah." he paused "you know... Before" he said referring to before he died.

"Wait, I'm confused."

"Let's go lay on the hammock," he walked over and lied down leaving a space for me. I lied down next to him putting my head on his chest and he played with my hair. "So, as you know, I've had a crush on you sense the fifth grade; but I started really liking you in 6th grade. And this year when I started talking to you I thought it would be perfect to ask you to the dance. Even if we weren't dating I still wanted to ask you. So... I asked Dylan because I knew he knew you best. I wanted to ask him how I should ask you. And he told me "something with lacrosse. She could talk all day about that sport. She does really love it" and I remember exactly what he said because that was the last time I talked to him." His voice got weak at the end.
