———

I run through the alleyways, panting as I try to escape my killer.

He's already cut me multiple times with his knife already, it's just a matter of time until he catches me.

End my life for good.

I get inside an empty shop and hurl myself against the closed door, locking it just as my killer starts pounding against it. I back away just in time for his knife to break through the door, right where I had been standing.

I shriek as he pulls his knife back out.

I hurriedly look around and begin pushing a dresser type thing in front of the door.

The lock breaks right as I finish pushing the dresser in front of the door.

I back up and he tries to push the dresser away, slowly but surely it moves.

Panicking, I scan the room for an exit.

I see a back door and sprint for it. I get outside and slam the door shut behind me, continuing my running.

I find myself in an alleyway with no exit except for the one I came through, and there stands my killer. He advances on me and tears flood my eyes, realizing that this is it.

This is where my line ends.

I slump against the wall as he stabs me, pain coursing all throughout my body. He manages to get one final stab in before he's ripped from me.

As my savior looks back at me, it's too late. My breathing slows and my eyes close.

I'm already gone.

William's POV

I look at the 'To Die' list as I watch the poor girl get trapped by her killer in an alleyway. Her name, YN LN, and the killers name glow for a moment before their rolls switch.

YN LN - Alive
Francis Darlo - Murdered

My eyes widen and when I look back to the girl, she's getting stabbed by Francis. This can't happen! She's not supposed to die anymore!

I lunge at the killer and chuck him away, then ending his life with my death scythe. I face the girl again, only to see that she's already dead.

I watch as the light fades from her eyes and her breathing comes to a stop, her eyes now fully closed. I feel a pain in my heart, feeling this strange connection to her.

I look back to the list in time to see her roll change again.
