I stare at the ground underneath me, when I hear someone whispering.

"Hey!"

I look up and make eye contact with an attractive male my age, and I tilt my head slightly in confusion, eyebrows furrowed as he helps me out of my cell.

"Come on!"

As I run silently with him, I think about why he could be doing this. Helping me escape. I mean, we have seen one another on multiple occasions, being tested in the same general areas and all. We've made eye contact more than once, and I could see this longing in his eyes.

A longing to be free. A look that I have too. For as long as I can remember, actually.

Could that be why he's helping me now?

When we finally escape and get far away, we stop and pant. I manage to breathe out, "Thank you..but wh-why did you save m-me?"

He smiles at me and breathlessly replies, "You're w-welcome..and I saved you b-because I l-like you. You seem like th-the type of person I'd b-be willing to fight a-alongside with in battle if necessary."

I chuckle, "I'm Y-YN."

"Finnian."

That's how this all started.

The start of our friendship, that would soon turn into a relationship. A romantic relationship.

I'm now married to Finnian, and found out that I'm pregnant with his baby!

I just hope our child won't be badly affected by our pasts, since we were experimented on.

When I spot Finny I run to him and tackle him in a hug. He laughs and hugs me back, kissing my cheek before I turn my head to kiss his lips instead.

I give him a cheeky smile when we part, and he chuckles. We talk a bit before I say, "Babe, I need to tell you something."

He nods, slightly nervous, "Okay."

"I'm pregnant!" I say with a smile, and he immediately picks me up with ease and spins us around cheerfully.

I squeal and when he places me back on my feet, he kisses me again.

Though our past was harsh, our new lives and family will rewrite everything. Erase our past, and write the new.
