I tap my foot as I wait, not necessarily impatiently, but just to try and occupy myself until he arrives. Drocell, my boyfriend.

I hear leaves crunching behind me so I turn, coming face to face with the man himself. The man, the myth, the legend...

Okay, I'm over exaggerating. It's Drocell.

He smiles and takes my hands in his, rubbing my knuckles as the stars twinkle above us. It's almost midnight; when the clock strikes twelve, it will be Valentine's Day.

Drocell kisses my forehead gently before murmuring, "How is my precious vampire doing?"

I blush lightly and bite my lip, looking into his eyes. "I'm alright, and how is my handsome doll tonight?"

"I'm good, thank you."

We just talk while staying in each other's arms, but we soon let go as he points behind me.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, not seeing anything. I turn around with my mouth open, about to say something when my eyes widen at the sight in front of me. Drocell is kneeling with a velvet box in his hands, it opened to reveal a beautiful ring.

My hands fly up to my mouth, in shock as tears of happiness flood my eyes. Drocell smiles and gives this grand speech before ending it by asking, "Nevermore, will you make me the happiest doll alive and marry me?"

I nod with a broad smile and yell, "Of course!"

When he slips the ring onto my finger, our phones sound at the alarm we set for midnight. We stare into one another's eyes after looking at the time on our phones, smiling.

We got engaged at exactly midnight on Valentine's Day.

We then kiss to seal the deal.
