Song: Breathing by Ariana Grande
His family was going to come over however Kia is having a melt down so they asked my parents if they wanted to come over to their house. After debating about it they finally agreed to come over. On the way over I gave them the low down of the house so that they will not be surprised.
"He has two sisters...Kimber and Krista and they are usually always fighting about something. He also has a little brother Kia...oh wait...you met him already...ok...well..."
"Ophelia, I'm sure everything will be alright," says my mom.
I roll my eyes at her. She has no clue what they are walking into.
When we get there his mom answers the door and they all greet each other. And of course I was right the girls are in the back somewhere screaming at each other.
"I'm sorry...kids..Kimber...Krista that is enough already cut it out," she yells and then looks back at my parents. "Sorry...it's just one of those days. Please come in."
Kodiak enters the room and gradually walks over to grab my hand. He was going to take me to his room but my dad grunts under his breath and we stop and look at each other and then choose to sit in the living room. They also sit down and his mom brings in a try of finger foods.
"I hope this will hold us all over while I finish cooking."
"It will be fine," my mom tells her. They choose not to say anything until after the main meal which is alright because now the girls are in their room. Kia finally passed out from running around in circles and his dad took him to bed. So now it is just us.
"Thanks for the lovely meal and letting us come over on such short notice," my mom starts.
"Thank you and its fine. I never know about my schedule with Kia and the girls...it must be nice only having one child...you do only have Ophelia right?"
"Oh...yes...only the one." She smiles back at his mom. "Which is one of the reasons why we are here tonight. You see our daughter here and your son have been getting rather close and we just want the best for our daughter."
His mom looks at him like she is about to snap on him, "What have you been doing now?"
"Nothing mom...geez..."
Both of parents glare at him and the look my dad gives him is not the best of looks. His mom notices the look and reaches over and pops him in the back of the head. "Don't be lying...what have you done?"
"Just normal teen stuff...you know."
"No I don't know...maybe you should tell me." She looks back at my mom. "So what did he do now?"
"We found the two practically making out in our den. We don't approve of this behavior."
"Well neither do I; I'm so sorry this will not happen again."
"They are teens...we know what it was like when we were that age and we know it will happen again. We just want you to know that while he is at our house they will not be left alone and we want to make sure while she is here that they will not be left alone."
"Oh...of course."
"We hope that you have educated your son about the use of protection and we are going tomorrow to get Ophelia on birth control. We are not ready to be grandparents and I can assure you that she is not ready to become a mom."
I feel my face turning shades of red because I feel like they are all looking right at me. I wish I could just crawl up inside and die. I have never felt so embarrassed, well I have but not like this. I don't even bother listening to rest of the conversation that they have between each other.
