Chapter 6: Dumped

I did not take Mr. Monfasco's, Rectine's step father, threats seriously. Hindi sumagi sa isipan ko nang mga panahong iyon na siseryosohin nya ang sinabi nyang may kalalagyan ako. At first, I thought it's just a blank threat but when I received a call from my step mother, I know something bad will happen.

Walang segundong hindi naghuhurumintado ang puso ko sa kaba. Kahihinto lang ng kotseng sumundo sa akin mula sa airport. I'm back home. Dad wanted to talk to me in person kaya nandito ako ngayon.

I slowly moved out of the car. I didn't bring anything with me dahil alam kong babalik din naman ako sa trabaho ko sa Manila. I walked towards our house. Sa labas pa lang, masama na ang pakiramdam ko. I should be feeling excited to see my father but something is weird. Hindi ko mahanap sa pakiramdam ko ang excitement. Kinakabahan ako. Hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko.

"Your parents are waiting in the library, ma'am Winey." Ani ng kasambahay. I nodded and proceeded to the library. Ni hindi man lang nila ako sinalubong. That's really weird. Dad always welcomes me.

I knocked three times before opening. Pagpasok ko, ilang hakbang lang ay nakita ko na agad sina dad at tita Awreca. Tita is crossing her arms while sitting on the solo sofa while dad is standing beside his table.

"Dad." I smiled widely and run to give him a hug. "I missed--- d-dad.." Para akong binuhusan ng naglalakinmhang bloke ng yelo nang maramdaman ang malakas na sampal ng ama ko.

Parang tumilapon sa ere ang kaluluwa ko dahil sa ginawa nyang iyon. My hand shakingly travelled to my cheek.

"W-what .." tears started falling.

"Is it true? You are the mistress of that married man?" His eyes widened in rage. This is the very first time I'm seeing him this angry.

Umiling ako.

"I know you are having a hard time in this house, but that is beyond my imagination, Winey!"

"B-But that is not true. He was my ex boss. I am not his mistress a-and he is not yet married."

"Even if he isn't married, he is still not a guy you can messed with! What are you thinking? Are you that dumb?" Tita Awreca joined us. Tumabi sya sa tabi ni daddy. Both of them are eyeing daggers on me.

"I didn't do anything wrong, dad. Believe me. I am not his other woman. T-that guy is nothing!"

Pilit kong dinipensahan ang sarili ko pero mukhang wala akong mapapala.

"Is this your revenge towards our family?" Lalo akong napahagulgol sa tanong ni daddy.

"N-no, dad."

"You are a disgrace."

"Dad, p-please b-believe me. Jeserr is nothing but an ex boss!"

I kept on defending myself but nothing good came out of dad and tita Awreca's mouthd. Sanay na ako kay tita pero kay daddy hindi. Every word that came out of his mouth pierced through my heart. Never did I ever imagine my dad shouting, glaring and
spitting fire on me.

"He is an Antonio for Pete's sake! He is the son of my business partner! He is the only grandson of the old woman Antonio!"

"I-I am not his woman."

"You messed with the wrong family! An Antonio? A Monfasco? Are you out of your mind, Winey!?" ~ Tita

"Tita, I know you won't believe me whatever I tell you but please, kahit ngayon lang .. I-I am not really his other woman."

"Did you seriously think we didn't confirm this? We asked that Jeserr Antonio and he, himself admitted! Don't lie in front of us, most especially in fronf of your dad! That is very disrespectful of you!" Tita shouted in disbelief.
