Blood and Tears

I found her...

But I was unsure if it was too late. I found her nude in a pool of her blood. I wasnt sure if the man had....I squeezed my eyes shut grinding my teeth to not think about it. She fell limp in my arms. I knew I had to get her to Mana.

Her dress was now ruined so I took it and ripped it into a type of tourniquet I wrapped it tightly around her stomach. I took my cloak and wrapped it around her body before lifting her.

I carried her to the palace and was immidetly greeted by Mahad who of course started to lecture me which I ignored.

Mahad I could tell was frustrated but knew I would do this. I was stubborn and did not care about my safety like he did.

Mana lived in the palace on the east side where many loyal family guests and friends would stay.

I finally found myself outaide Manas quarders before yelling her name Mahad opened the door Mana was at her desk studing old books about our magic. She was studing to be a great mage.

"Who? What are you doing here Atem?"

"I do not have time for questions she needs help....now" Mana pointed to a small lounge chair

I gently laid her on a lounge chair moving her beautiful but now tangled in blood hair off her face.

"What happened?" She spouted

"She was attacked. Shes lost alot of blood we dony have alot of time"

Mana nodded

"You owe me some answers Atem considering you havent visited since becoming Pharaoh, come on m
mahad help me get some medical equipment"

I wave her away. I grabbed a bowl of water Mana had in her bath and some linens. She was breathing so lightly now. I began to wipe the blood from her face and hands slowly taking the blood from her hair..there wasnt much I could do. My heart ached...how did I let this happen.
Mana came back with mahad shortly and began to work on her. I held her head in my lap as mana began stuffing her wound with some mixture and sowing her up. She began looking over her body for more wounds carefully covering them.

I began to brush her hair gently. Detangling each strand. My eyes were unable to leave her face now bruised and swollen.

"She will be fine, she needs rest and her wounds checked daily, now woukd you mind tell me who she is?

"She is....special to me.."

Mana raised an eyebrow

"Special huh? You've never been one to hold anyone special"

I nodded softly rubbing her cheek

I looked back at mana

"It is....a possibility I am...falling for her" the words carefully slipped

Mahad and Mana looked at each other a moment. Concerned. I knew they would be...

I raised my hand "Don't...just dont say another word"

I picked Evelyn up and headed to my chambers.

Neither followed.

I layed her on the bed taking off ghe cloak I dug around to find something she could wear. I found a small wrap to use I dressed her in fresh clothing. Her breath soft. I laid beside he rubbing her cheek and kissing her forehead.

I think I meant what I said.

I think I was in love with her.
