We spent every day and night together. She had become my life.
Her and Mana became close Mana was teaching her all sorts of things. She would come and talk to me about excitedly.

I loved her more than anything. She still hadn't said it. I wondered if she was afraid too. I felt she loved me and that was enough. She had been here for two months. Her presence was..breath taking. She began to suprise me with little gifts and began to tell me more of the future in her world. We had long talks on the balcony we made love in the night. "Atem....I need to speak to you"

I lifted my head from my hand to see mahad. His face emoutionless most of my guardians weren't concerned over Evelyn. Isis was especially intrigued she and Evelyn would talk about the future back and forth. Mahad..I knew what was troubling him.

"Yes go on," I gestered mahad over

Seto also approached me with him their races seemed full of concern.

"Brother, the arrangement is coming up...have you forgotten"

My face turned pale, I felt my whole soul begin to crumble.

Mahad nodded at Seto.

Seto took my shoulder
"My king, you are to meet with her and her father, we leave Tommrow our trip is short but it must be done."

I stood up I felt rage just boiling rage

"Lets start a war, I dont care. I...won't be married to a women whom is to be some sort of peace treaty"

Mahad shook his head

"We do not have the forces to protect our kingdom. Not only will our people suffer you and...her will be slaughtered."

I grinded my teeth

"A man can have more then one wife" Seto suggested

I snapped at him "My father...married my mother out of simple motion of love. He did bot lay with any other. Even after she died I will not keep two women at my side"

"Atem, then...you will have to tell her..." I collapsed on the hard floor pounding into the stone. I felt pain. So much pain.

Mahad put his hand on my head

"Pharaoh please...try to calm yourself..."

I felt tears buring my face. I stood up wiping my eyes.

"I wish to be left alone tonight. Is that understood?"

Both men nodded

"Tommrow at mid morning we will leave.,

I waved them off before heading to my chambers. I felt sick I needed to talk to Evelyn. I needed to find out how to...fix this"

I opened my door there she was drawing on the floor her face lit up when she saw me rushing to me and hugging me tightly. I felt tears in my eyes once more.

"Dont peek I'm making you something" she giggled before sitting back on the floor.

I smiled trying to hold back the tears

"I am going to take a bath it was a rather tought day"
I kissed her head.

"Do you want company?" Her eye brow raised

I chuckled "No just some quiet"

"Okay I'll work on your present then"

She was playful with me now, she was her truest self she had tried to be professional and uptight for son long but now...she joked and teased me.

I slipped into my bath. Rubbing my temples I cursed my father in his grave. How could he do this to me.
I took a deep breath I needed to think

The women I was to marry was from Persia. Her father was very powerful and had huge armys that had destroyed entire empires. I wondered what his daughter thought was she in love with another? Could I play this off...keep her separate..could I hide this.. My thoughts were racing. I just wanted Evelyn.

I finally came out of my bath with no answers. Evelyn excitedly handed me rolled up paparii

I unraveled it the drawing was beautiful a huge city towers high and weird objects in the road. It was lovely.

I smiled and kissed her

"Do you miss it?" I asked

"I must go tommrow for a few days..for some business matters"

I hope she wouldn't sense anything. She always seemed to know what I was thinking.

She frowned
"Are you sure..everything is okay"

I nodded I tried to smile as realistically as I could

She kissed me again pushing me down on the bed.

She sat up stradling me now, he hair long and brown lightly covering her breasts her honey eyes practically gold her skin was still light but was kissed by the sun. She was like a goddess.
