🌾Evelyn🌾
This. This can't be happening.
This can't be possible.
My hands were shaking as
I stared at the little plastic stick before me with a double positive. I reach into the box for another one only to come to my senses that
I was in fact pregnant.
Sweat began to drip down my brow as
I gathered the many tests I took and threw it into the trash. My head was spinning how could this happen. How was this possible?
I was disgusted with how clammy I was before vomiting in the toilet.
I picked myself up off the floor and gathered myself to face the mirror.
The bump was small. Small enough to cover for the time being but how could I explain this.
Atem...
My heart fluttered with warmth and pain.
Time had passed so much time...I had donated the Puzzle to my museum because I just couldn't bare it anymore after weeks of trying to go back.
I inched myself to my bed where I collapsed.
There was no way this was Emmett's we hadnt....I hadnt let things get that far,
There was only one person....Atem
But I couldn't explain this. It had been so much time. I wondered about the full magic potential of the Puzzle. There had to be an answer there. I felt tears welling up in my eyes before I heard the phone go off.
"Hello? This is Evelyn" I sat up in the bed as my assistant on the other line began to speak.
I could hear the shaking in her words
"Ms.' there's been a situation here at the museum..."
"Yes? Go on?"
The girls voice broke
"The artifact you donated has...vanished...disappeared its like-" her words began to flow farther and farther away.
The puzzle...the key to all of this is...it had to be
"Ms.? Are you there? You need to come down here immediately"
"I'm on my way."

I had the entire place closed down and police in my office well into the evening hours.
Making my way toward the Ancient Egyptian exhibit my assistant and other colleagues gathered around the glass encased pedestal all quietly whispering among themselves my approach startled them as they parted out of the way quietly watching me investigate.
It was exactly as my assistant said it had vanished in what seemed thin air. Nothing was broken nor touched.
"Call the police, lets get a report out and locate it immediately" I said sternly my eyes turned the the others
The police had worked well into the evening hours I sat in my office as the officer began to explain to me what they had found.
"We cannot seem to locate the point of entry or how exactly the artifact was stolen" an officer spoke his words were hollow. Of course they had no idea they were facing ancient magic.
I nodded my head buried in notes from when I found the puzzle. Trying to find anything I could use to locate it.
I nodded "Right"
"We will notify you if we find something"
"Yes, of course" I mumbled still fumbling through paperwork
I leaned back into my chair the stress of today was overwhelming I touched my stomach gently tracing the small bump. I had to find the puzzle, the answer to this might lie here. A small smile crept up as I lost myself in memories of Atem. I wondered how happy he would of been...How he would of reacted. I felt my eyes burning again before diving back into my paperwork.
A folder slipped out onto the floor paper flying everywhere.
"Damn" I sighed frustrated as i kneeled down to gather them it was as though fate had it in store for me there in the photos taken of the old tomb I saw it The hieroglyphics read:
"Thy Spirit Captures"
"Thy Soul is Devoted"
"Thy Shall Return to the calling"
"Speak Thy Name to he who has vanished, the return the breath of life"
My stomach sank, there had to be an answer was here.
I picked up the rest of the papers glancing through the pictures and notes
The Puzzle held great power according to the writings it carried the very soul of a great pharaoh
Atems soul? I wondered i bit my lip hard trying to come to the conclusion that Atem might of been here all along. It would explain the night I thought I heard him, felt him...but nothing was there. My head was still spinning with all this Time travel nonsense How was I pregnant, why was the puzzle missing HOW was the puzzle missing and did this mean that Atem was still out there?
I held my head before letting out a scream of frustration. I threw everything onto the floor which caught the attention of my assistant
"Ms...uhm, is everything?" She glanced around the office which was now an utter mess
"What can I do for you" she finally spat out
I shook my head "Nothing please go home for the evening"
I laid my head down on the cool wood, and began to feel sick again slunk to the floor I began to breath slowly and calmly trying to settle myself down. I traced my finger tips on my bump again bring a warm smile on my face. despite all of this...a part of him was with me.
