CHAPTER 10

JOON YOUNG wasn't surprised about Julia's confession but he was surprised at how brave she is when she suddenly kissed him. It was just a peck on the lips but her fearlessness surprised him. "I am giving you the chance to run away, Julia. You might not know what you're doing."

Tinitigan niya itong maigi habang sinasabi niya ang mga salitang iyon. Noong una, akala niya kusa rin itong aatras sa laban na sinimulan nito, ngunit mali pala siya. Hindi ito sumagot, ngunit nanatiling nakatitig lamang sa kanya.

And he understood. Even without words, he understood. He underestimated her and wanted to applaud her courage because her eyes never wavered. This woman keeps on surprising me.

Mula sa pisngi nito ay hinawakan niya ang batok nito. He felt the strands of her hair in his fingers and as he slowly dipped his heads towards hers. And then finally, their lips met again.

Oo, maaring may mga ilang bagay siyang hindi nasunod sa plano niya, ngunit hindi ba tagumpay naman siya? Julia confessed and right now, she's even kissing him. And him responding is also a part of the plan, right? The need to kiss her is also a part of the plan.

He slowly moved his lips against hers and felt her responding. It encouraged him to deepen the kiss. He just couldn't ignore the sweetness in her kiss that he craves in for more and more.

"You're in danger, Ramen Lady," he breathlessly told her.

"Why?"

Nakita niyang kinagat ni Julia ang pang-ibabang labi nito. He groaned and in no time, he was kissing her again.

A LITTLE while later, Joon Young and Julia are sitting on the front porch of the house. Nakaupo lamang silang dalawa doon habang magkatabi at hawak ang kamay ng isa't isa.

Julia was looking up at the stars which was too visible in the night skies while there he was, looking at their clasp hands again. Hindi niya alam kung bakit sa tuwing hawak niya ang kamay ng babae, parang may hatid iyong mumunting pananakit sa kanyang dibdib at tiyan. But again, it wasn't the bad kind. It was good, actually and he was so afraid that he was getting too used to it now.

Pero paulit ulit pa rin niyang ipinaalala sa sarili niya na ito talaga ang pakay niya. It was the plan of revenge for his father... and speaking of that plan, ito na yata ang tamang oras para malaman niya ang dahilan ng paghahanap nila sa kanya.

"Why is it important for you to find Joon Young?" Pagbubukas niya ng usapan. Naitanong na niya iyon sa babae noong nakaraan, but he wanted to know more. He wanted to know all the reasons why his father sent Julia instead of him coming personally.
